I don't remember how they showed Libra coming to Earth. Are you sure it wasn't with a Boom Tube?I'm fairly certain Morrison stated in an interview that Libra was made a New God after Darkseid and the Gods of Apokolips rescued him from his ascension.

Right, but he was reconstituted by Desaad on Darkseid's orders. Grant Morrison said something to the effect that Darkseid had him reconstituted as a New God.

He essentially had a taste of how the New Gods feel - what they represent, and thus able to reach their world.
Thus why Glorious Godfrey pointed out that they've been following him for years, knowing that his experiments might finally bridge a barrier between the New Gods realm and Earth without the use of a boomtube.
The fact that Libra only reached the New Gods world without the boomtube by becoming discorporal (after absorbing half a galaxy's worth of energy), and then getting more powerful/being flooded with the concepts/ideeas that are unfathomable to the human mind, certainly doesn't exactly lend credence to what you're trying to say.

It's not overhyping the feat, since we know it has a greater mass and surface area to Earth. We also don't assume that the NGs scale with their planets proportionally to Humans with Earth. We know generally that even in our own solar system other planets exceed Earth for size and mass.So even considering scale it could feel like having two Earthlike Jupiter sized planets smashing into him, or it could be more or possibly less.
One thing we do know is that their mass is far greater than Earth's, meaning that even if we take scale into consideration, magnitude alone makes its more impressive.
I assume it's around Earth level in comparison based on what I've seen. But if you have any specific references to it's size in comparison, I'd concede.
Possibly but that's beside the point. My argument is that scale doesn't matter because using boom tubes, it becomes all relative. Just assume in the example I used, the planets that struck Captain Marvel where in proportion to the ones that struck Superman. Just edit the example.
What?
Man I wish DC artists would draw DS like this:

Instead of some square block.

Omega: Morrison said DS turned Libra into a new god? Well, can't go against him. thumbsupdur
The issue that Philo is showing scans from is FC: Secret Origins I believe. Which also retcons DOTNG.
