You can prove with a napkin and some calk the myth about the Shroud.
Do this:
-Get someone to volunteer their face (or use your own)
-Get a white piece of cloth, like a napkin.
-Get a piece of chalk
Cover the person's face with the napkin and then go over their face with the chalk until you've colored in the majority of their face. Cheeks, brow, chin, lips etc. You'll have something similar looking to the Shroud of Turnin when done.
Now for the magic trick, remove the cloth and lay it flat as the Shroud of Turnin is displayed. Notice how when you turn a 3-D face into a 2-D image the face takes on a "moon-face" appearance? If Jesus (or anyone) had been under that cloth when the impression was left, it would have the same distorted look when lain flat on display.

and that gaunt cheeks aren't highlighted by shadows...
How anyone can argue that it's nothing more than someone drawing/painting/smearing or what have you a human face on a flat canvas is beyond logic and reason.
It is a neat looking piece of art, though morbid.
Edit: Then again someone paid $28k for the image of what some believe looks like The Virgin Mary on a grilled cheese sandwich. Faith, I guess, or a grilled cheese aficionado.

idk
if it had the real perspective of a 3d face, people probably wouldn't buy it as much, because it would look really odd
you wouldn't be able to look at it and see jesus so clearly, which has to be what convinces people it is real (outside of just being told it is)

Unless it's "god magic", there is no way to imprint a 3-D image on cloth and not have it distort when lain flat and shown in 2-D.
If you think it's possible, I challenge you to get a napkin, some chalk and do if for us. Post the before, during and after pics.

it actually has to do with the chemicals that the body releases after dying, but I guess you didn't read the link.
there are no traces of any type of paint used in the middle ages in the cloth, it's clearly a chemical process that got the face into the cloth there's also blood stains. just check it out man, see what you think.

The chemicals can magically not distort the image when it goes from 2-D to 3-D? Again, has to be god-magic if a face left the facial marks.
I didn't say it had to be paint. It could very well be drawn with human, sweat, blood and/or urine for all I know. Doesn't change the fact that if a face left the imprint, it would distort the image when lain flat and shown in 2-D. How do you even account for the beard? Another clue that it's a neat piece of art, nothing more.
Challenge still stands.

If you want to see the study, ask to see the study instead of debating with with me if it's legit or not, not everything has to be a pissing contest.
I asked way before the post this is a response to. It should have accompanied the initial topic anyway. Otherwise you shouldn't surprised that nobody knew what you were talking about and were skeptical.
I'll get around to reading it though, thanks.

Cos nothing short of magic could do what is being claimed and I've probably heard it before.
It being blood, sweat or paint doesn't affect perspective and distortion that would occur going from 2-D to 3-D. Then there's also the beard, hair shading etc.
It's a neat picture, some will step outside of reason and have faith it's something else. Can't really argue against that. God-magic counters science each and every time.

Already did. Its not automatically a virtue...I've got reasonable, earned faith that gravity works, as it can be tested at any given moment and is predictable..... Easily tested by jumping from a height.
If I hold my laptop up, at shoulder height whilst standing, and let go,
no amount of your or anyone's faith is gonna stop that crashing to a destructy demise.I have faith in that.
Feel free give your computer a similar test, if you dispute this.
funny. I trust that the law of gravity is written within the larger, and even unseen laws of God. What we call scientific discovery isn't anything new...we just finally discovered it.
What proof do you have that faith in God is a sham? Just as faith may not keep your laptop suspended in mid air ( not this time, trust harder 😛 ) however, another's lack of faith can not suspend God's ability to answer the prayers of people who pray to Him in faith that He is who He is.
