Mantis.

Thanos wins.

I also used to pull the Avatar excuse. The problem is that basically every showing of Darkseid's Post Crisis was retconned to being an Avatar, to the point that Post Crisis Darkseid=Darkseid's Avatar(s).
Which means the REAL Darkseid has little to no feats post crisis basically

Mantis.

Ah. Forgot about him. thank you Mungi. 👆 But that doesn't help Thanos, considering Mantis would stomp him too.

Iceman: If so many shitty writers hadn't lowballed him, this wouldn't be necessary. Besides, as Nvr and I both said, they spelled this out a LOT in New God stories.

Pre-Crisis Mantis might give Thanos a bit of trouble but otherwise Thanos wins

...............I don't see Thanos beating him. Mantis drains energy like a leech. He's got the capacity to absorb all of Thanos's energy and throw it right back at him.

Thanos has a limitless supply of energy/power reserve to draw upon.

Infinity Man has drained bigger. He's held off the entire LOSH.

Galan: Indeed, he did tool Mantis. But he lost the first battle.

😂 at draining a INFINITE supply of energy.

He's done it before. srug

Against a supply that is cosmic and dark accult/death magic in nature?

You really think it was that cut and dry?

Here's the whole scene:

I see IM beginning to physically wreck Mantis. I see Mantis use a sneak attack in which he was able to momentarily contain IM. Then I see IM break free of Mantis' prison, and blast him a single time ftw. /shrug

Heck, IM wasn't even fazed by Mantis' "star system-shattering" anti-matter touch.

Mantis eats energy like a crackhead eats crack.

He's jacked Dr. Fate's powers no problem.

Is there an energy manipulator in comics that doesn't have a limitless supply of energy to draw upon?

Yeah, Firestorm also has a limitless supply of energy to draw from... Doesn't mean he's unbeatable. Quite the contrary, in fact.

Who says Thanos is unbeatable because he has a infinte supply? just that draining is great option to use.

^ So you don't think it's possible that Thanos can be drained -faster- than he can pull energy from his 'infinite' supply?

No, as he already has a vast energy power reserve to start with and can then also draw energy from various sources if needed.

^ Same can be said about Mantis.

Also keep in mind that the Infini-Beam doesn't just force the entirety of one's energies to disperse, nigh-instantly -- it also renders said individual unable to control their energies.
