Thanos was revived as the avatar of Death. Death didn't directly act through him, more like she gave him the tools necessary to bring death to the Cancerverse. Which includes being unkillable himself, and being able to deliver death to those unkillable. He showed the ability to kill immortals when he and the GOTG fought the Cancerverse Defenders. The GOTG initially seemingly "killed" the Defenders, but they came back to life. Then Thanos tried killing them, and successfully perm killed them
"It would appear I am capable of delivering permanent death"

I'm thinking non avatar death Thanos. What's the point of putting him in, if he can kill anyone? Doesn't make sense. Regular Thanos can win over DD, just not the majority.
Like i said reaching.

Proof of this power to kill the unkillable? And I want scans and context from an honest poster about this incident of Thanos killing the cancer-verse....or is it Death acting through Thanos?
So when he killed them in the cancerverse they stayed dead.
Its not truly the ability to kill unkillable beings but it would probably be enough to kill DD.
Although if DD can adapt to thanos's ability(which mabye he can mabye he can't) before he dies than Thanos will lose.

Those are featless mooks. Not enough. It says he might be able to kill something with massive regeneration. But there is nothing in there showing him killing something on his level. Do you have any more scans?
And does he retain this power of death? Or did death kick him to the curb after TI?

And as far as I am aware he is still the avatar of death. Nothing stated he wasn't anymore.
Originally posted by TricksterPriestnot massive regeneration. they didnt die because death had been expunged from their reality. thanos essentially broke their universe's physical laws by killing them because his killing blow is backed by death itself.
