Will facebook become like McDonalds?

Will facebook become like McDonalds?

Will it be with us until the end of civilization or does Face book have some worthy competition?

I even ended up with a Facebook account without even signing up myself. Is it an unstoppable force?

What do you think? Is it really that cool to everybody?

McDonald's is 70 years old, lets not jump the gun on end of civilization.

Facebook is huge and will likely stay with us for a long time, but there will be enough competition from many different places, like Google, Apple and Microsoft, as well as other known and yet unknown players.

Social Networking sites come and go...I don't think Facebook or Twitter will be any different to Myspace and Bebo in terms of once having huge popularity and are now entirely populated by spamming *****.

Facebook is massive, they have a great platform to extend to the more important areas of Identification and Payment that will be coming up, if it plays its cards right (which everything is pointing to at the moment) they could be able to be in the same league as Google.

McDonald's may be young but it's not going to lose to a fledgling ffood restaurant. I had heard that myspace fell off because of spamming (which I honestly don't know what exactly that means) and viruses ( which I understand ) but I thought it appealed to the young people (15-35). My dad (65) has a facebook account. And this is a guy who didn't do computers.

You're saying McDonalds doesn't have worthy competition?

Burger King and Wendys glare at you.

The internet is fickle, I wouldn't be surprised if Facebook went the way of Myspace and Friendster when someone makes something slightly more "innovative".

Unless you think civilization will come to an abrupt end during the next century, I doubt either McDicks or Facebook will see our end.

Spam is just stupid pointless crap. Emails you get about viagra and such.

Facebook has it too, but not as bad.

Why waste your money, just start the company.

Help us, CM, we need you.

i like mcdonalds ,,,, what is facebook can someone please tell me as i don't have one 😂

I don't have a Facebook account.

I think it is largely a form of self indulgence for vain people, and a convenient place for creepy dudes to cyber stalk attractive women they barely know. 😎

McDonald's has been surpassed by Subway in number of locations, so you may have a bad analogy in using McDonald's.

To actually answer the question and not miss your point, no, Facebook will not become the McDonald's of social networking. There are many social networking sites but it's quite obvious that Twitter and Facebook are "top." McDonald's has tons of steep competition. Facebook doesn't have the same type and depth of competition.

What about facebook's future? If Facebook does not adapt to future trends, it will fade away from the digitial eye and something else will replace it.

Facebook value meals?
