Mantis is supposed to be second only to Darksied in terms of power... but he is also a man and I've never seen any reference to notable level of skill, let alone a suggestion that he is one of the most skilled fighters in the Universe. I have no clue who this female Mantis that Orion fought, who happens to be one of the best fighters in DC, is.

The day Orion takes down someone with his skill who is 100 class strength ahead of his own with his skill. Then he finally has accomplished a Cap skill feat.

I wouldn't be surprised if they transferred Orion to a regular human body and then he would lose in hth against Lady Shiva.

Hercules is a great hth fighter and has tons of experience but lets face it even he's no Cap.

Orion has been around long before man even existed. Skill is a hard thing to gauge, but just because Steve MAY be a better MA, doesn't mean he'll win in a fight.

And I'm thinking of the female NG who is considered the best MA in the universe. The name is escaping me. Orion beat her and Mantis in hth. Darkseid, Mantis, and Superman are all out of his weight class and power, too.

Would the same apply to Thor/Hercules/Wonder Woman vs Batman in hth(no powers)

Sure, but WW needed to use her powers to take down Bruce one on one.

But they could all win some of the fights?

Just trying to get an idea where you place their skill level.

Thor/Herc/WW could win some fights, but I don't think the majority. Herc I could see winning a fight, though.

I stated above the woman's name isn't Mantis. The name is escaping me. However, like Srank said, Mantis is second only to DS. He's taken on Infinity Man and Dr. Fate back in the day. He's also wrestled with Orion and in Simonson's run, Orion pretty much handed his ass.

Its not about Steve being a better MA. Its about his effectiveness against the like of the others that far outshine Orion. By your logic I can reverse what you say and say it doesn't mean Orion will win the fight just because of his longevity.

So for now I just give Cap 7/10.
