UNLESS she can transform into some form of energy that mags can't affect. can't think of something off-hand but she MIGHT be able to come up with something. then she still has to damage him though. odds are NOT good for her.

Arguably, Monica's reflexes while in energy form are quite better, however, Max can affect her, so she needs to be shifting her energy signature quite fast -something she has failed to do before-. One way or another, barring blitz, she has no real chance against Eric.

Magneto's shields have been shown and stated to be selective - he can choose what gets pass it and what not. If he puts all of the defenses up, there's close to no chance of her getting in unless he wants her to.
she used visible light ot get throguh, but that's inconsistant writing bordering on PIS, the shields block lasers by default while being see-through just the same.
anyways, they dont have to be transparent, that's just so readers get to see the character and he can interact with other charatcers. if he wanted to shut the entire EM spectrum out, it would be easy and he could still sense her outside the shields and manipulate her energy form. he also has previous knowledge of her powerset.
furthermore, monica should start in human form, so the initial drawing contest to activate their powers would be won by mags, whose reactions are a lot quicker than baseline humans. and, as far as I know, she has never turned into energy outside the EM spectrum, all of which mags can control. he on the other hand has manipulated exotic energies. he wins this

You might wanna reread up on Monica....she proven to be faster then Spider-Man when comes to reaction times while in human form...IIRC, in her first appearance
