Django Unchained

Why is this film call Spaghetti Western when the Director is not Italian and it was not shot in locations like Spain or the old movie studios in the Italian mountains and hills?

Anywhoo, as Tarantino path to kissing ass to mainstream Hollywood goes on so are his movies going downhill. This is his FOURTH Revenge Film and this is just a real sign the man has jump the shark and ran out of ideas. The whole thing about making Django black and not white like the other previous Django films of the past just show the man intended to make this film about much controversial as possible.

The man doesn't care telling stories anymore it's the same "I'm gonna get you back sucka!" and add some of his comic dark comedy. He stop evolving with Pulp Fiction and he knows it. Now he is just looking to make controversy.

Without a doubt the lamest Tarantino movie so far and very VERY OVERRATED, OVEREXPOSED, AND OVERHYPED.

WD rewards both Tarantino and Django Unchained a 2 1/2 out of 5.

On a side note....Spike Lee is an idiot but at least he has a better track record than Tarantino.

Reservoir Dogs, True Romance, Inglourious Basterds and his piece de resistance, Pulp Fiction.
One of these is not like the others.

but far from Tarantino's great written works

Just watched this, I'm a huge Tarantino fan and this was honestly a terrible movie, not even Leo DiCaprio or Christoph Waltz could have saved this movie, Death Proof had cooler scenes, I'm not talking plot here but the Scenes in Death Proof were much better....

Someone's mad the black guy won in the end

Yes, he is.

No, he doesn't. Spike's record isn't a fraction of Quentin's.

that's the problem with speaking negatively of this film, there is that whole racial thing, that aside... I had much higher expectations..

You mean whiter expectations

Ridiculous, man. I'd never say the movie is flawless, but damn, that's crazy talk.

(Cheers Impediment, on the Bill Hicks av/sig!)

Thanks.

I make all my sigs.

ok, fair enough. I might be a little harsh. 😎

LOVE Bill Hicks..

Nope, I SERIOUSLY don't think so...

Let the films speak for themselves.

-Do the Right Thing (Anger and Racism leads to hatred and loss on both sides of the fence)
-Malcom X (Racism can come from even those that promote peace)
-Get on The Bus (The struggles of the past are relevant to the struggles of today)
-Summer of Sam (I-talians portratyed as fearful and somewhat weak not as tough badass gangsters)
-25th Hour (Crime cannot be undone and you have to do the time)
-Inside Man (Best Bank Robbery movie since Michael Mann's Heat)

Now Tarantino:

-Reservoir Dogs (VERY Unique movie about Robbers who turn to be idiots but are so appealing that you cannot dislike them even when they kill cops)
-Pulp Fiction (Best Gangster Movie in the past 50 years. Redefines the genre of gangsters with tales of deception, betrayal, and human violence)
-Jackie Brown (Revenge)
-Kill Bill vol 1 and 2 (Revenge)
-Death Proof (Revenge)
-Inglorious Basterds (Revenge)
-Django Unchained (Revenge)

I know, skipped a few but you should get the point by now.

This post was brought to you by the incredible and humble WD!

Admittedly I haven't seen most of Spike's films, but I have seen all of Tarantino's films and I doubt Spike's would even compare. Revenge films or not, they're still pretty different from one another.

Oh, I think everyone in the whole wide world should see Spike Lee's movies. There is no doubt that Spike is a complete sh_tbag clown. But his movies are good...well, at least for me they're VERY good. And so is Tarantino...but QT needs a sci-fi movie like right now.

Heck! Let Tarantino direct the Next Star Wars movie. I'll watch it and I'm sure that's the challenge he could use....unless...turns out to be Revenge of The Empire....oyyyhh!!!!

I've only seen three of Spike's films: Malcolm X, Summer of Sam, and 25th Hour.

I personally think that Lee is a talented director, but I still think that QT blows Spike out of the water in style, storytelling, pacing, and character progression.

Malcolm X>Anything in Tarantino's filmography.

I do consider Tarantino better though.

I could not agree more. 💃

Unfortunately I don't see QT doing a sci-fi movie because it would probably require the sort of special effects that I don't see him ever using.

Yes, I saw that.

I meant the fact that you included Inglorious Basterds into that list.
