Boston Legal was topical as hell; some of the episodes are unwatchable now that we have a black president. It assumes a higher level of ambient rage than is currently available, as well as a higher amount of liberal guilt. We have a black president now, though.

Doctor Who is timeless, and has one of the most jaw-droppingly intricate character arcs you've ever seen.
