AC3 or so will be the last Desmond Arc.
Bombcrafting
Assasin Dens being attacked by Templars looks interesting.
I like the upgrading bits. Brings a bit more of a strategy element into the games.
I admit I am disappointed by the user interface, though; the health meter and such are just such a step backwards by how they looked in AC2 and ACB.
And yes, I know, it's a tiny little quibble 😛 I notice those things. And there's not much else I can ever find wrong with AC.
Agreed on the UI, but I'll get used to it.
So, I went to Gamestop to pick up Arkham City, and found out that the Assassin's Creed Revelations Ultimate Edition was 79.99 and had the White Edition of the AC Encyclopaedia instead of the the two figurines. Naturally, I upgraded.
Is it still the same over in the US or has it been changed?
They haven't by any chance mentioned anything about the language options?
I simply loved playing through AC 2 and Brotherhood with Italian language the second time around (they should have a mixed version too, where Desmond and co speak English, and only the Italians speak Italian.).
So I hope Revelations have a Turkish option, even though I wouldn't hold my breath.
I...don't get what your complaint is? Of course it's going to be a money maker - people make games to make money. However, they've also proven that they can not only keep up the quality but improve upon the previous game while releasing them in a short time frame, so why not? There's clearly still story to tell, and they want to wrap up everything to start fresh for AC3.
Also, things have been pointing towards AC3 being in 2012 for quite a while now, so even if they weren't making ACR it still wouldn't have been this year.
My biggest pet peeve I guess, is the fact that it seems like a representation that AC becoming just a cash cow...to me anyway, which doesn't really feel right considering how well the whole series is done. It comparable to the releation of MW2 to Black Ops, bad analogy I know, in the sense that it's....well a mid-quel.
maybe it's just because I don't like mid-quels is all.
To be honest, I don't really have a problem with AC3 in 2012. Considering how long GOW3 took I c.an be patient.
True but Brotherhood felt like it actually wrapped up Ezio's story....since he still had to deal with the Borgia. I'm pretty sure some keep points that happen in this game could've just been retold in the next game Ubisoft puts out.
Mid-quels in general seem to be unnecessary however Brotherhood was an exception. Not sure how this game's going to turn out though.
Story-wise the key points of Revelations wouldn't be able to be told in-depth in the next game, since AC3 will have a different ancestor, and Revelations is all about finding the nexus with Altair and Ezio that will return Desmond's mind to his body. That's more than a big enough point to deserve its own game, and AC3 obviously can't move on until Desmond's problem has been taken care of.
