this looks like a win. i thought it was a 300 spinoff at first, kinda happy it isnt.

I personally cannot stand period-movies where the armour is brand new & not tarnished by the elements or dented & scratched by battle.
And even the peasants walking around in rags that look like they've come from the dry cleaners.

I just recently saw the trailer for this. I want it to be good so badly, but I fear it'll be awful.. : ( I think the director is talented and visually skilled (watch The Cell!), but this kinda looks like a mess even on the trailer; albeit an entertaining mess. It looks like Troy meets Thor meets 300. And I think Troy is the best of the three because it has such a good story that it didn't need a bunch of supernatural BS to make it appealing. *raises glass* Here's to hoping!

Lol, yeah. I guess that's the supernatural element to it all.. THE GODS!! lmao. I think I'd prefer a more realistic and dingy look as well. Troy, to me, kicked ass in that respect.

Oh man, I hope this doesn't suck. It comes out shortly after my birthday.. pray Praying is a waste of time, I probably should just lower my expectations.. lol 😆

But one thing I have learnt is that you can never judge a movie by its trailer.

I think it looks the sane as 300 which was a very disapointing and waste of money to go see movie.
