You know, part of what made 300 work was the framing device, that it was revealed to be a long story told by Dilios to his men as they are about to begin the Battle Of Plataea. That lent itself to the exaggerated, operatic look, as it was all from the point of view of the storyteller.(How he got the last fragments of the story, when he wasn't there? Still doesn't excuse the gay costumes, lol. But yeah. I'm actually gonna try to watch it again soon, all the way through. It's been a while. It's at least entertaining.
