Darkseid made his appearance like a boss.Next issue's confrontation should be interesting. I'm pretty sure there's a ferocious beating for Superman on the horizon.
After all he's been doing lately, most likely.
I liked Arthur making Hal stfu; that was nice.

Anyone think Cyborg will be really powerful with all his tech?
Possibly.
Originally posted by PhilosophíaI would have liked Darkseid's appearance to be at least a 12 issue thing. Start with Kalibak and Orion and stuff. Build up to Darkseid. But I have to be realistic. The last time Jim Lee did 12 issues in a row, Jeph Loeb was sucking his pr1ck for all it was worth.

Darkseid... just leapt out of nowhere. Trying to read this as a new reader without too many preconceptions... he's been established exactly like Peraxxus. <--- This is not a good thing, fyi. It just feels rushed.
I'm just relying on my own preconceptions hoping for more from Darkseid as I'm wholly expecting him to eventually be thwarted by the Justice League in their formation arc. And that deeper layer better not be revealed by a lame "oh that thing you just beat was not me in true form, it was just my Darkseid-bot, Darkseid Probe, Darkseid avatar."

I personally don't mind Darkseid's introduction happening this soon; what I do mind is the amount of time and space that's been given to displaying Cyborg's story. They could have lessened that, or added more issues, but tbh it's really taking away from the League.
#1: Batman and Hal get a whole issue together.
#2: Superman and Flash both get a reasonably large chunk of the issue.
#3: Diana shows up, gets most of the issue, and we lead in to Arthur for issue 4.
#4: Arthur gets what, six pages?
While Cyborg has been featured heavily in each issue on an increasing basis.
