Not surprised by any of those cancellations.

Glad to see Batman Inc. coming back. It was the only Bat-book I read/enjoyed. 👆

Based on the December sales figs there are some good books potentially on the chopping block next though, like I Vampire. 🙁

^ I read that too. Captain Atom is also riding the line. If those books both get cancelled, there will only be like 2-3 titles I'll bother following in DC.

Sometimes I guess it pays off for characters to be 'mainstream'... Even if the books they're in are crappily written/illustrated. 👇

Swamp Thing and Animal Man are doing surprisingly well though despite not being what I would consider mainstream.

Yeah, they're B-listers in terms of how well they're known by the average joe--but I'd still say that they are both more known (in general) than Captain Atom, and a HELL of a lot more known than the I, Vampire crowd.

If you give those books a chance, it's hard not to enjoy them, imo. That's why it'd suck to see them go.

True, but I think Captain Atom is more well known than Animal Man, if only from the JLU cartoon. Swamp Thing is pretty iconic though so he has more name value than either of them.

^ Didn't think about JLU, but even that would mainly attract a very specific/newer audience.

If you think about all of Animal Man's appearances, from his exceptional solo series, to JLA, to Justice League Europe, to 52, etc., I think he's probably been exposed to a broader, more mainstream, audience than CA has in his career... Not to mention the writers AM has had (namely Morrison and the Vertigo team)--the former of whom could write a book about human feces and it would be a top-seller.

Either way, Captain Atom is a great book--one of DC's best, imo. Where overall quality is concerned, there are several other pieces of crap DC should cancel first... But first and foremost, the comic industry is a business. It's all about the Benjamin$. /shrug

Having China Mieville at DC is huge. He's great. Dial H looks exciting, but they canceled OMAC and Black hawks. Some of my favs! 😠

liefeld is about to take Grifter and Deathstroke to the Extreeeme! Deathstroke will be facing off against LOBO! this is madness!

Not only that, but a possible Team 7 as Grifter leads a team of strike force humans. we already know one. Deathblow. sounds like fun.

Yeah I love China Mieville.

Prediction: Liefeld gets Grifter, Hawkman and Deathstroke all cancelled. Bastard.

Wow, just read that DC is might be getting a new logo. Here it is, I hope they keep the one they have right now!

the logo coulda been better, it might grow on me

Captain Atom is such a good read. I thoroughly enjoy the 'godlike light' they are portraying him in.

...I'd really hate to see this title go. 🙁

It's one of the titles I still follow; I'm probably not enjoying it as much as you do, though.

Batman #5 was a good comic (and Snyder has consistently been very good) but after Morrison's story, eh, it feels a bit "been there, seen that, and better". Everybody's crazy about the story, so there's that at least.

Supergirl is really taking its time. Reign and the worldkillers might be interesting. Good to see that she can, even at this point, fly much faster than light.

Wonder Woman is still solid. Poseidon looked, interesting, to say the least. It kind of reminded me of the creatures from Animal Man.

More than anything, I'm enjoying the Doctor Manhattan/Solar-esque way that they decided to write CA this go-around. That+the artwork is teh awesomesauce. The story itself is solid, but it could be paced a bit quicker.

As of now, the only other titles I'm following are: Action, I Vampire, Animal Man, Justice League, and New Guardians. There are some others I check out here and there, but for the most part I stop at the above.

You following Justice League? Didn't care much for it so far.

^ I'm only following it until the New Gods bit has concluded. After that, I'll probably drop it.

Which morrison story because I thought RIP was trash while I am enjoying snyders run so far? I agree wonderwoman had been pretty solid. Aquaman has been ok. Nothing spectacular but very serviceable

Been thinking about reading I vampire but its never really sparked my interest. That may change. It took me a little bit to get into sweet tooth at first.
