Yeah, they're B-listers in terms of how well they're known by the average joe--but I'd still say that they are both more known (in general) than Captain Atom, and a HELL of a lot more known than the I, Vampire crowd.
If you give those books a chance, it's hard not to enjoy them, imo. That's why it'd suck to see them go.
^ Didn't think about JLU, but even that would mainly attract a very specific/newer audience.
If you think about all of Animal Man's appearances, from his exceptional solo series, to JLA, to Justice League Europe, to 52, etc., I think he's probably been exposed to a broader, more mainstream, audience than CA has in his career... Not to mention the writers AM has had (namely Morrison and the Vertigo team)--the former of whom could write a book about human feces and it would be a top-seller.
Either way, Captain Atom is a great book--one of DC's best, imo. Where overall quality is concerned, there are several other pieces of crap DC should cancel first... But first and foremost, the comic industry is a business. It's all about the Benjamin$. /shrug

liefeld is about to take Grifter and Deathstroke to the Extreeeme! Deathstroke will be facing off against LOBO! this is madness!
Not only that, but a possible Team 7 as Grifter leads a team of strike force humans. we already know one. Deathblow. sounds like fun.
Wow, just read that DC is might be getting a new logo. Here it is, I hope they keep the one they have right now!

the logo coulda been better, it might grow on me
It's one of the titles I still follow; I'm probably not enjoying it as much as you do, though.
Batman #5 was a good comic (and Snyder has consistently been very good) but after Morrison's story, eh, it feels a bit "been there, seen that, and better". Everybody's crazy about the story, so there's that at least.
Supergirl is really taking its time. Reign and the worldkillers might be interesting. Good to see that she can, even at this point, fly much faster than light.
Wonder Woman is still solid. Poseidon looked, interesting, to say the least. It kind of reminded me of the creatures from Animal Man.

As of now, the only other titles I'm following are: Action, I Vampire, Animal Man, Justice League, and New Guardians. There are some others I check out here and there, but for the most part I stop at the above.
