Got Superman, GL New Guardians and JLA, all was good again! 🙂

Can't say I loved the dialogue in JLA, but Darkseid was in beast mode and that's a win.

Superman, and I say this as a big Superman fan, is boring me.

New Guardians was pretty good. I enjoyed Aquaman a lot, yet again. Liked JL Dark (glad to see it moving on from this arc though).

That's all I've read this week.

“I’m excited and eager to let people know all the facts about the new Earth 2 comic, but for now I have to remain vague,” teased Robinson to DC Comics.com. “Earth 2 is a world that’s very like our own, but at the same time vastly different. It has known great conflict and danger...a dark menace defeated but at a great cost both to the Earth and to its superheroes of that time. Now, in the present as new menaces emerge to attack the Earth, so new heroes must emerge too, learning to work as a team (or perhaps Society is a better word) while facing these new threats head-on. Who are these heroes? Will their powers include speed, bestial fury, and maybe even green light? Wait and see.”

I'm looking forward to this. It won't have the history of the JSA of old, but I'm a fan of Jay, Ted, and most especially, Alan.

You're not alone. I'm basically just skimming through it, since I can't take reading any more of that boring dialogue.

Cosigned. The dialogue was so thick and the plot so thin that most of the issue seemed like pointless talking heads.

the dialog was indicative of people that don't fully trust one another yet, but are in the fight of their lives and have to sort of work together.

they don't have time to get really civil and erudite about their abilities

And Batman de-masks in front of Hal of all people first?

Preview for Action #6. This will be epic, just like his Batman run. If not better.

i didn't mind the dialogue in JL; I even liked part of the Hal stuff. The unmasking was plain retarded though.

Nice preview.

That's most likely Mxy. What I'm glad about here is that kryptonite is apparently an unlimited, unique power source in all time and space that even immensely powerful beings have to travel back in time to get.

Not to sound specieist, but Hal is actually human... And Barry, well, Batman also wants Wally back.

well, prior to that revelation he said to hal that he recognises that he's an ordinary human (with a do anything ring). batman's been pretty interested in that ring since the first time they met and i assume this is going to be the same relationship batman has (or had might be more apt) with oliver queen in terms of being the only humans in the group. i think batman sees the potential in hal as an ally, possibly one more trustworthy than the others. maybe i'm just seeing invisible subtext *shrug*

time will tell, but i don't see it as a bad thing right now

in the end you can't back up anything you say, you have nothing to suggest wolverine is the best character outside of "wolverine is teh awesome" which pretty much summarizes your post, then rationalizing and oxymorons of quality when the very concept of wolverine is devoid of any.

there's a reason why several others including 2 moderators were baffled by the stupidity in your post, if that's the case then there's something seriously wrong with your stance.

i'll tell u what, when wolverine actually wins a fair amount of eisners, hell when he wins one eisner, when his films, games animated series and comics in general aren't panned universally then, then you can talk about quality and wolverine without being the laughing stock of the thread.

and as far as wolverine being such a complex character as you put it, as i said before a character with numerous gimmicks isn't complex or deep, it's messy, confusing and just lazy. regardless of how much you like the character, it really is a fact that marvel targets him toward younger, naive readers who will pay for anything that involves swearing violence and boozing, wolverine is the epitome of cheap cash ins, both as a character and his works. there is no depth to the character, and the only thing remotely close to complexity involving anything with wolverine is the fact that his moronic fanbase can't figure out that his only purpose is to produce as many cheap cash ins as possible. maybe if i made a portrait out of glitter then wolverine's fanbase could understand, but they might get too distracted with the pretty colors.

i know it will never happen, but i really wish they would just kill this character off, it would be good for the comic industry, like locking a heroin addict up for his own good.

I have to say that love the irony in you - a man who spends the better part of his free time creating sock accounts, trolling comic book forums with poor spelling and grammar, while routinely calling people gay (among a litany other childish insults) - claiming that a character is only liked by of questionable intelligence. Based on the facts at hand I propose that if in fact only "morons" and children liked Wolverine - as you have claimed - that you in fact would have to by definition be his largest fan. I also find it incredibly amusing that you have now decided to put stock in the post of forum Mods when only a week ago you were spending all your free time attempting to insult them by spamming the forums with you juvenile threads.

I would suggest you take a moment and stop fixating on base surface traits serve little importance in painting the larger portrait of who a character is, and attempt delve a little deeper. I know you aren't used to looking for it, since it is unnecessary quantity when considering the static and largely one dimensional characters you happen to prefer (cough cough DC cough cough), but you should attempt to discern the subtext behind these characters. The themes and motifs that they embody, their motivations and character traits that serve to construct a fully formed character. Subtext my dear Wang, that is what great characters are built on. Challenge yourself, sign up for an English Lit class, and learn about what constitutes a fully formed and dynamic character. 😎

Back on top: I remember before JLA #1 was released there was a DC press release that said that Flashpoint shut down the possibility of time travel... but Batman said Booster Gold was still from the future in JLI this week. So... what's the deal? Has this been addressed in a book I'm not reading?

I don't eve know why you waste your time, srank.

On another note, DC does have better characters! 😛

Usually when I have the free time to post on KMC, I am - at minimum - lightly toasted.

Right now for instance I just got back from a bar and I'm pretty smashed. 😎

I don't know that press release, but Legion Lost also begs to differ

JL was just... Odd, imo.

Aquaman was all right...

Best issue so far IMO.

I'm starting to not mind that the introductory arc is completely Hal/Batman-centric (Wonder Woman has had like... three lines of dialogue? 😂 ). I appreciate that Darkseid didn't go evil badguy monologue.
