DCU gets remade - all books are #1s, Geoff Johns and Jim Lee on Justice League, more

It's not my personal Batman story, but it's definitely up there. Snyder has the chops, but it doesn't necessarily mean it will be good. Diggle, Snyder, and Lobdell?

Morrison is a great writer, definitely one of my favs, but his Superman is far from perfect. The two writers above could definitely has the potential to be better than Morrison's Action, IMO.

You crazy. 😐

Nope. 😄

Dude, why are you still trying to debate this? I like Scott Snyder a lot and I'm hardly the only one. His Swamp Thing is getting pretty good sales and his Black Mirror story is one of the highest ranking Batman stories. It is what it is.

Just one of his projects he still has for DC and it's a pretty good one, even though I'm not a huge WW fan. Supposedly he wants to do a Ray Palmer story, but I doubt that will go through, because of the relaunch. With this and Multiversity, it's nice to see Morrison with DC in one way or another.

That doesn't automatically make him fit to replace Grant Morrison, even if I agreed with you, which I don't.

and this whole "everything's rosey at dc" line is not so good either.

I never said it does make him automatically fit. I'm just glad a up and comer is attached to a Superman book. He's doing Man of Steel, not Action.

And if he makes an absolute mess of it? Will you make excuses for him then? Come on. 😬

Yes, he's doing Man of Steel and not Action. I know. It's still basically a replacement unless DC picks a big name to helm Action Comics, and don't, like they've done in the past, try to make MOS the flagship book.

I never make excuses for poor story. Never. I even stated his Batman wasn't up to par. His current work that is. However, I still love Swamp Thing (which is pretty much liked and has received good reviews) and I liked Black Mirror (another award winning story).

If it sucks, then it sucks, but it hasn't even come out, yet. sheesh!

What? I like what I like and you like what you like. End of story.

Okay...

I'm with PR, it makes him twice right.

Probably.

I'll be straight up honest, I think Scott Snyder is the best writer at DC right now (Yes better than Johns). He has three books coming out all of which are getting extraordinary reviews.

Now that doesn't make him an automatic fit for Superman, but he could do great just as he could be bad. He's never written a real Superman story so it is pretty much impossible to judge. I feel that Scott has proven he is skilled enough to at least have a chance at a Superman title. Furthermore, I certainly think it's possible for his comic to surpass Morrison's Action which, while good, is not great.

👆 Exactly my thoughts. I never said the story or stories were automatically going to be good, but I have every right to be happy about the news. Guess people will hear what they want to hear.
