That's actually quite laudable - DC is saying that you can purchase any of those covers, without having to buy more of the regular one.

Usually, you have a variant cover at the price of buying 50, 100 or even 200 normal ones. As it is now, you have 52 variant covers, each at the normal price.

For just one of the variant covers for Uncanny Avengers, as an example, you had to buy 75 standard ones and this comic had like 20 variant covers, all with similar deals.

To put it in layman terms, DC is putting more work [making 52 variants] and making them available at a price that is considerably smaller than just getting one variant, out of ~20, of Uncanny Avengers.

In short, DC just bitchslapped Marvel.

I was more laughing at the fact why does one issue need 52 variants? That's pretty extreme.

My comic store has tons of uncanny aveners copies collecting dust. Ir didnt sell as much as they thought.

My comic book store sold most of his. *shrug*
