Were there angels in Action Comics?
BTW, Threshold sounds pretty awesome. I don't think I have been dissapointed with Giffen on sci-fi/space stories (Annihilation, Blue Beetle, etc...). This quote is what I'm looking forward to.
And in "Threshold" #2, I'm not going to give this away, but we'll introduce who I swear will be the breakaway character for this book. This will be the one fans start buying the book. And by the way, Larfleeze has nothing to do with "The Hunted" story. Larfleeze is a 10-page co-feature and a completely different story.
I hope it's Space Ghost! 😉
Heres some news, looks like the Vertigo Hellblazer is ending with #300 and a new John Constantine comic will launch in February (presumably) called "Constantine". It will be in the DCU brand, prob under DC Dark line.

Tbh it's nothing to do with the writer that is the problem, it's just that Hellblazer told certain kinds of stories with a certain kind of tone that they're not going to be able to truly replicate in a DC universe book.
I mean, as much as JL Dark/Swamp Thing etc are dark books, they're not exactly the proper horror stories that Hellblazer can tell, along with the more mature stuff that Vertigo Hellblazer is the perfect place to tell.
And, unless Milligan pulls something insane in these last few issues, idk if there's enough time to end Hellblazer with a proper epic confrontation and conclusion. Plus it was pretty cool Hellblazer was the only Vertigo title still running since Vertigo started.
Eh, the one plus I see here is they might finally collect all of Hellblazer, Jenkins run and one shots stories included.
Dunno why people are surprised/upset that DC is cancelling Hellblazer at issue 300..? They had no qualms with cancelling Action Comics at issue 900+.
DC is revamping EVERYTHING in the company. Considering that Constantine himself has already been retooled, it's no surprise to me that they'd retool his solo series as well. I don't like or agree with this decision, but hey... I didn't like or agree with revamping the entirety of old DC either. /shrug

For me, it's nothing to do with the fact it's at #300 and more to do with the fact they're taking away the best title to tell Constantine stories in.
Plus the fact a couple of months ago they were all "Don't worry, Hellblazer won't be affected by DCNu at all, it'll still run for the forseeable future" which (as seen now) was just a lie.
I mean, I had no problem with them using Constantine in mainstream stuff as he was effectively a seperate character and all, but cancelling Hellblazer and only using PG Constantine is just a terrible move by DC.
Admittedly, I 'm griping with a lot of the DcNu stuff atm, but that's just because I'm with you on the old DC revamp being unnecessary...
On a more positive note, Death of the Family looks like it'll be sweet, if the first issue was any indication of the quality going forward.

Giffen returns to LOSH as coplotter. But I don't care for the art.
