What happened this week?

-Most of the issue is Clark trying to deal with Zod and Faora. He doesn't exactly fare well. They mention the he has great strength but that he's no warrior.
-Eventually Wonder Woman joins the fight, and the tables turn. She takes control of the fight and brings it and more equal footing. Also, she's learned some Kryptonian.
-Wonder Woman fairs quite well against Kryptonians. She blocks Zods heat vision with her sword and uses the super heated metal to burn Faora's face. She knees Zod and draws blood.
-In the end, Zod has Superman by his throat and Wonder Woman as Faora. Zod and Wondy agree that a tactical retreat is in both their favors.

So it's basically the "Wonder Woman makes Superman look bad" comic that it's been in previous issues?

Yup. Its just pandering to wonder woman fangirls. Just go to CBR now and see them gushing at how wonder woman would beat superman.

Great googamooga. JRJr's art is seriously just gross.

Eh? How has it been that in the previous issues? Wonder Woman got destroyed by Doomsday. By contrast, Superman dominated Apollo who is currently WW's greatest foe.

Edit: but today's showing was pretty bad, yeah...

It's looking more and more like the creature the CSA is terrified of isn't Darkseid:

I'm also talking about the "Superman is a shitty fighter because he's not a warrior" thing, which has been there for a while now, and is completely contradictory to the other comics.

And to think, I was really excited about that book when it was announced.

Ugh. I don't mind making Diana look good, but doing it at the expense of someone else, especially her co-star in the damn book...

Told you!

One thing about this so called, "creature" is I hope It doesn't get destroyed in an issue or two. They have a secret weapon that can destroy it (Hooded man), but I hope John's doesn't have Ultraman just throw the man at the creature and call it a day.

Yeah, but you were just talking out of your ass(😛). Initially, all signs DID point to Darkseid--and blatantly so. It has only in the last few issues that the tone has changed to something else entirely... Some sort of massive creature who can evidently sense multiversal disturbances.

...I'm going with Cthulhu. galan_cthulhu

What do you think will happen to this creature? Will it survive post Forever Evil? And where will the Crime Syndicate go?

Nah, it won't be that simple. As of now the CSA/Ultraman has gathered every powerful mage in DC and imprisoned each of them within some sort of super-weapon that can use their cumulative energies offensively against the creature in hopes of repelling it(which I'm sure won't work.) This was all revealed in today's issue of Constantine.

I'm guessing the hooded man will be brought in as the ringer to help save the earth or somesuch.

Hope it's Mr. Mind.

^^
That would be hilarious. You expect this big ass creature popping up and out comes a little worm! 😂

Mr Mind makes sense considering 52.
Is there an event after this? If so, I'm going with Anti-Monitor. Or the real Black Adam

Wait wait wait... let's go with Trigon. Mages. Universe stuff. A tie in issue previously. Yeah, I'm going with Trigon

I'm thinking Anti-Monitor. After all the Crime Syndicate and likely Alexander Luthor Jr are involved.

AM would make sense. After all, good ol' Geoff did make it a point to resurrect him in the wake of Blackest Night, but never really got a chance to *use* him(to his potential) before the events of Flashpoint.

...I'm sure he'd like to be the one who introduces the single biggest threat DC has ever known into modern continuity. That'd be a writers wet dream.

I honestly think if it's not DS, then AM is the most likely candidate otherwise.

Johns absolutely loves AM.

The only possible reason I'm doubt AM is because this event is about to end. However, considering this could just be part 2 in a trilogy, it would make sense to introduce the big bad in the last issue or second last issue.

Also, because GJ likes to shit on AM
