Quick reviews by me:

Action Comics was phenominal! An easy 5/5 and the best of the relaunch books so far!

Animal Man was also a great book another 5/5 from me.

Swamp Man was good and has amazing potential. 4.5/5

Stormwatch... I was expecting more but it was mostly a "my powers are ______" book still decent. 3.5/5

Detecive Comics has great art but a weaker story/dialogue. 3/5

would you recommend animal man?

No shout-out to O.M.A.C., eh? What's wrong with you? That was one of the best books of the relaunch, imo.

It was a nice Superman comic, frankly, if it had been an elseworlds it would've been a nice start.
That's kind of where I was at with it. Much like JLA #1, Action Comics #1 wasn't bad, it was just... Different. Not what I'm used to, I guess.

DiDio's writing doesn't impress me, even if he has Kirby-esque art to go with it.

Yeah, it's not for everyone. I just liked the old-school feel about the comic as a whole. /shrug

Either way, I still think I, Vampire is going to be the single best series to come out of this relaunch. I'm actually excited to read the first issue... Rarely ever have I said that.

I think it's more Giffen than Didio.

Wow, that's the one I wasn't going to touch with a ten foot pole. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts when it's released.

^ Well I am a big fan of the original series, so that's one of the reasons I'm excited... But in all actuality, the relaunch is definitely one of those books that has the potential to be either really good, or really bad- there's not much grey area.

But based on the spoiler artwork and dialogue I've seen so far, it *seems* very promising... After the 28th I'll know for sure. 😛

Static Shock #1 = feels bad man 🙁

I've heard more good about Static Shock than bad. And Daniels art is growing on me, which I find surprising, because I never liked it.

I hear I Vampire is one of the best books in the relaunch. Both Gail and Scot Lobdell said it was pretty awesome.

For me OMAC just had a weird pace, there is a mystery, there are some bad guys, there is this mechanical discussion between OMAC and Brother Eye which could lead to cool interactions -like Nova and Worldmind-, but instead is monotonous and slow. The action was cool, but OMAC didn't do anything very special for me, it felt like a brick with some tech powers. I really wanted him pulling weird powers out of his _ss.

The issue by itself was okay, it just that for a 1st issue that's supposed to pull you in, it fell short for me.

@ Bently, what would you GRADE Stormwatch and Action? Out of 5.

And I'm going to give a shout out to Men Of War. Surprisingly good. Art was the best from Tom Denereick.

True, it was quite different from "normal" Superman. And it really harkens back to the Golden Age Superman (wife beater anyone? 😛).

I don't know. I enjoyed it immensily but it's a very unique comic kinda hard for me to recomend. I'd say flip through it at the comic store and decided that way. I'd also warn you that the art is not to everyone's taste.

Action about 4/5, it was a solid 1st issue and it was fun seeing Superman so active.

Stormwatch about 3.5, good enough to follow the story but still wondering a bit how the next stories will turn up.

Dudette, you mean? biscuits

My theory is that she is the same mysterious/unknown woman who appeared at the end of Booster Gold #47, and wrote numerous Flashpoint-related prophecies on Rip's board.

To anyone who read Green Arrow, what did you think?

I, personally, didn't like it. I didn't read much GA, but they seem to have really changed Ollie's attitude (not to mention appearance/age)

Is it a chick? All 52 books I spotted her in have mostly just been the head, so I couldn't tell.
