^ Yeah, the first issue could have been a lot better.

I'll probably check this out, but wtf is up with RH's thunder-thighs?

ermm

😂

Didn't even notice his huge thighs till you pointed it out. Those thighs are what professional bodybuilders and Badabing wants to achieve someday.

It's a fat suit.

Sucks that I'd read maybe one of those books.

GA. Haven't taken the plunge with SW yet.

Looks like Giffen will take over Green Arrow. Kinda an upgrade.

Also, Batman Levithian comes out in December. Grant Morrison, baby!

Anyone planning on buying all 52 #1's?

Batman Prime already did.

After the first week I thought I was going to, but last week was 😬

How did Batman Prime get them before being officially released??

He pre-ordered them, he doesn't have them.

Did anyone else actually like Mr. Terrific?

maybe, but its true, though. im not saying higgens slade is for everyone, but im glad hes going to get the respect he deserves.

If that's what they're going for then why is Higgins so adamant about Slade not fighting named heroes and villains? People who defeating would actually lend him real cred.

His excuse "the villain must lose to the hero" is crap.

Deathstroke can son the Teen Titans and still lose in the end without looking bad, its when people start making Deathstroke lose one on one fights with street levelers that the problems start.

And I'm willing to bet that Higgins himself would have Nightwing stalemate or beat Slade straight up if they met.

Sometimes a villain should be able to straight up pwn a hero. If Darkseid appears in Outlaws for instance you don't throw Kory, Jason, and Roy a pity victory because they're the heroes, you have Darkseid teleport them to the torture chambers of Apokolips with an impassive scowl on his face. And after escaping the chambers you don't have them beat DS in a fight in his throne room, you have them escape by the skin of their teeth saying "geez that was a close one".

Having the hero win every time is both boring and self-destructive. It isn't something that "must" be the case, it's something that hack writers fall victim to.

The four page preview for Wonder Woman has me pretty interested. She's always been my favorite heroine in comics, and one of my favorite characters overall, so I'm looking forward to see how this pans out.

Who said he would always win? From what I understand, Deathstroke is just going to be the the best assassin in the DCU. The ultimate bad ass. But Nathan Edmondson said the very same thing about Grifter.

Doesn't mean both of those characters will never lose.

He's a Dick fanboy, so he most likely would.

I'm wondering if the releases these next two weeks will match the quality of the first week after week two was an overall disappointment IMO
