Rianna has never looked guiltier in her life than this moment, as she flees from the Jedi. Myraline pursues quickly, while Ciira and their brawny associate stay close behind.
It is quite clear at this point- and has been for some time- that Rianna is experiencing the first step on the path to the Dark Side. She is letting her Fear take control of her actions. Her fear of returning to Coruscant. Her fear of Myraline. Her fear of Rand. Her fear of betrayal. Her fear of death itself.
As Rianna sprints down the pristine hallways of Cloud City, she has never been more afraid in her life. Myraline Kiros, the woman who was supposed to train you into a stable and successful Jedi Knight, now pursues you with the intent to arrest you for every death you have caused since you left the Order- on Vanquo, on Taneshla, on the Dreamless Sleeper, and now here on Bespin.
No matter what the context for each situation, Myraline sees Rianna as a mass murderer who has abused her talents as a Jedi.
If it were anyone else she were running from, Rianna would try and find somewhere to hide until they were gone, but she knows this would never work, not now...Myraline knows her too well, and would find her immediately.
"You don't understand!" Rianna says, as she runs as quickly as she can to keep ahead of Myraline.
"I tracked down criminals of the same sort that I would have if I was on a mission from the Council!" Rianna replies. "And it wasn't paranoia - I was attacked!"
As for a plan...Rianna's realizing now that she's kind of trapped on Bespin. Even if she manages to lose Myraline, she's got no way off the planet.
Well, for starters...she's beat up and in no state for a fight, and since she has no intentions of giving up her lightsaber, she's afraid that it will come to that if she does stop or they catch up to her. Not that she wants that to happen, but right now Myraline's attitude frightens her...
Not to mention that she's terrified of the idea of being brought back to Coruscant and being confined to the Temple forever. She rather likes the freedom she's had the last few months, even if things turned out going terribly wrong for her.
If she thought Myraline would listen, and wouldn't immediately arrest her, then she would be willing to stop and try and explain what has been going on...but she's not sure Myraline would listen at all if she tried.
Basically, eventually she wants to try and get off the planet somehow, if possible. She's still rather find a way to get herself out of this mess that doesn't mean just fleeing entirely, but right now she's just too scared.
You contemplate these things as you sprint with all your might away from Myraline and the others. You have spent these last few months free to do as you will, aside from any manipulations that Rand has thrown your way. But you have spent these last few months on the run, avoiding contact with Republic agents and the Jedi.
What really baffles you is that Myraline does not believe you.
The fact that Myraline doesn't believe her and went on the offensive immediately - and is acting very much not like herself - is probably the most worrying and confusing part of all of this. Rianna certainly doesn't expect Myraline to approve, but she at least expected her to not jump to the worst conclusions possible and give her a chance to explain things.
Not to mention she's still worried about what has happened with her family...
She would like to at least try to explain things, if possible...and if that doesn't work, she's running and finding a way off Bespin.
"Myraline! If you'd give me a chance to try and explain! You've got things all wrong, just give me a chance!" she says as she keeps running.
