STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- City in the Clouds

Ooooh, a decent move set this time, too!

Rianna ducks low and rolls around to Myraline's side, placing her former Master between her and the window out to the airshaft, spinning around and slashing at Myraline as she stands back up again. Strong Agility.

Relying on just one blade, now, Myraline rounds on you and fends off your blows. There is a series of slashes back and forth as you try to maneuver yourself around, but you do not make any significant dent in her defenses.

You do get yourself into position, however.

Round draw, goes to attacker.

Myraline: 3

Rianna: 4

-

Match point to Rianna.

Myraline realizes her tenuous position and tries to maneuver herself back around, to avoid being between you and the window. She slashes at you as she goes.

Rianna catches Myraline's saber on her own and pushes it back towards her, echoing Myraline's attempts at making Rianna stab herself with her own saber earlier. Normal Strength.

Close! But no cigar. Her Strong Agility allows her to outmaneuver you and slip her blade away when you try to push her blade back. Your dance of death now carries you just before the window, but you are facing each other with the window to one side. Your blades clash again and again and again, but nobody gains any advantage.

Myraline: 4

Rianna: 4

Rianna to attack.

Rianna jumps up and flips over Myraline, stabbing at her back as she lands and turning to the side, trying to place Myraline between her and the window again. Strong Agility.

Myraline tries to present a firm defense, but your flip happens too fast for her to be totally firm in her blocks. Your lightsaber doesn't slip past her guard, but you do land and move into an advantageous position.

Myraline: 4

Rianna: 5

Match point to Rianna (again).

Myraline tries once more to get away from the window, then time going low with a simple slash at your thigh to disable you.

Rianna meets Myraline's attack with her own saber, catching it with the tip and angling her own saber to force it to slide off to the side. Normal Dexterity.

There is one final clash as Myraline's lightsaber catches on yours and you cause it to slide away... and suddenly you find your opening and, in one swift cut, Myraline's arm is separated just above the elbow.

Rianna immediately calls Myraline's saber to her with the Force, pocketing it, but keeps her own out and ignited, pointing the blade at Myraline.

"You're done. Defeated," Rianna snaps. "Just as nearly everyone else who's tried to face me has been..."

Myraline goes down on one knee, clutching at her stump.

"I never trained you to be like this..." Myraline snarls bitterly.

"Then that was your failing," Rianna snaps, harshly. "No matter what I did I was never able to live up to what you wanted from me. Maybe I shouldn't have ever bothered trying."

"I shouldn't have picked you in the first place!" Myraline yells. "I should never have convinced the Council to Knight you!"

The urge to simply end this permanently, once and for all, is getting harder and harder for Rianna to not give in to...

"No, maybe you shouldn't have! But at least then I would have known that there were problems!" Rianna shouts back. "Instead of you hiding it from me! What else have you kept secret that I should know about?"

"I told them not to send you to Ord Coridari," Myraline says. "I knew you would fail! You're not strong enough to contest someone like Rand, and I knew you would let yourself be drawn into conflict!"

"And I'm not you, Myraline! I'm not the sort to just sit back and let things happen if I have any chance of doing something!" Rianna replies, stepping closer and holding her lightsaber only a couple of inches from Myraline.

"Give me one good reason to let you go..."

Myraline just shakes her head.

"I have failed you," Myraline says. "I have failed myself. Strike me down. You have nothing left to do."

"And I'm the one that has to live with that failure for the rest of my life," Rianna says, glaring angrily. "It is my life that has been ruined because of it."

With that, Rianna steps forward with a simple jab through Myraline's chest, ending it quickly.

"Goodbye, Myraline."

Myraline gives a single gasp of pain as your lightsaber runs through her heart, then she slowly falls to the floor. Her eyes are locked on yours until they glaze over.

Myraline is dead, and Rianna has sealed her fate.

You do not have long to dwell upon it, however; you sense others coming from down the corridor!

Rianna is not happy that this is how things turned out...but she feels like she had no choice.

And as she has no real way out, she will return to the shaft and get away from here.

You are rather displeased to see members of the Wing Guard at a distance, making their way through the maintenance shaft. And the blast door at the end of the hall is grinding open slowly.

Stepping into the processing vane, escorted by Captain Zaltus and other members of the Wing Guard, is Andro Fenris, the Jedi that accompanied Myraline and Ciira here to Bespin.
