STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- City in the Clouds

Now that she feels she's at least gained herself a moment or two to relax, Rianna will actually pause to catch her breath, though she doesn't want to remain in one place for very long and would prefer to keep moving if possible.

And keep sensing around her for danger, as well as how close Myraline (or the other Jedi) are to her.

The thing is, you are not quite sure where to go from here. The maintenance shaft is currently dominated by Myraline, and the main hallways will get you spotted by the Wing Guard for certain. Not to mention that a blast door has sealed your conventional way out of the processing vane.

...so basically Rianna just trapped herself here.

Brilliant.

Your situation does look pretty hopeless.

Yeah, and Rianna's sure that Zaltus was able to see where she was going and sealed everything off...she'd consider going back into the shafts to try and find another exit but she's also pretty sure that she'd run right into Myraline if she did.

Does the window just overlook outside or another corridor or something?

It just looks out into the air shaft. There is a gangway just outside for maintenance purposes, just below, but you are pretty sure it just leads back around to the opening at the end of the vane.

So in other words, it does her no good at all, and her choices are limited to staying here or going back to the shafts.

Pretty much!

It is only a matter of time until Myraline gets here... maybe something in the vane can help you here.

So what exactly is in here, then?

Monitoring equipment for the processing system, wind speed detectors, cooling notifications for the massive repulsorlifts, and a comm unit. And lots of junk and gear.

I'm at a bit of a loss as to how that stuff would help her much 😛 Especially as Rianna's really not the tech-y type.

Edit: screw it. Do the monitoring systems look like it'd be safe to go out into the shaft? Cos if so Rianna's going to make her way down onto that walkway; even if it doesn't lead anywhere, it's better than just sitting in there.

The winds are very intense out there, but not enough that you can't keep your balance. You slip around outside and down below the window.

It is a LONG way down...

Hopefully she isn't afraid of heights...

Rianna will look for another way back in that won't leave her closed off like in that room...or, if needed, somewhere she can create herself another exit.

You are fairly certain that the only way out if here is down.

And is there anything below her she can climb down to? Anything to climb on, for that matter?

It is a sheer drop; nothing below except the bottom of the shaft.

You could probably climb up on the fin of the processing vane, but you're not sure what good that would do. You might be able to get the drop on Myraline that way.

Well, needless to say Rianna's a bit frustrated here - can't go down, going up won't really do much good, can't go back to the shafts, if she stays here she's trapped...

Your position is rather hopeless, indeed.

Myraline will be here shortly. You can sense her drawing near.

Yay!

Well to be honest, Rianna's not too comfortable with fighting out here - she's had enough duels over a deadly high drop for her life (yeah, one was enough). So she'll retreat back to the room she initially came out of the shaft in, waiting near the shaft entrance so she can ambush Myraline when she arrives.

Rianna will hide in the dark of the corridor just before the blast door, then, and await Myraline...

You see her step out of the maintenance shaft. She eyes the grating that you had to move to get in, and then she looks about the darkened interior of the processing vane. Her lightsabers are inactive.

"Come out, Rianna," Myraline says, in a pleading tone. "I've gone too far... I need your help. I know you're in here."
