STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Gunrunner

She has told you what she expects if you want to walk about freely.

The ship can be moved, but it can only dock in one place.

Maybe we could send the ship away and rendezvous with later. We could drop out of the ship as it left? Or use its departure as a distraction.

Your Republic pilots are not extraordinarily talented, so it would come down to your Intrusion rolls.

Better than nothing. Are they able to return when we need them? Does a hand-held comlink work for calling the ship?

They would need to stay in the atmosphere, which would be very fuel intensive.

Let's not do that then. We'll need to reach them by some other means once they've left.

Rand and his Padawan will try to slip out of the ship unnoticed as it takes off.

The Republic pilots will notify flight control of their take off as you board, then, and begin the take off procedure as you are getting in position to drop off the ship. An underside hatch will be the best way to do this unnoticed. You are ready when the ship begins to lift off.

"When do you want to jump?" Foghren asks you.

"Wait for my word," Rand says, standing patiently by the hatch and waiting for the best possible moment.

The ship has taken off and begins drifting toward the exit.

"Hold..." Rand says to his student, waiting for the perfect opportunity.

The ship makes it to the open docking bay door without interruption. The floor drops away below the ship, and you are looking down at a steep drop down the polished black monolithic structure you landed in.

Rand will instruct his Padawan to follow him and jump back toward the docking bay ledge!

Dramatic Leaping check for that! And it is just a bit of a drop if you don't make it...

Nothing to it but to do it.

Foghren jumps at your urging! He has a high dice pool for Leaping, having high agility, and scores three successes. Not the cleanest landing but he tumbles into the hangar.

You, on the other hand, only score one success. Uh oh... you jump toward the hangar and fall just short...

Blergh, I don't have time for that. Pump a Guidance point into things, where does that put me?

One point gets you a rough landing on the edge of the hangar, and 5 points of damage. You scramble into the hangar just as the blast doors start to seal behind your departing Republic cruiser.

"Now what, Master?" Foghren asks.

It will do.

"We make our way out of this facility," Rand says.

Do we have grappling hooks? We could scale down the outside of the building, unless they have sensors out there.

We can say you have some length of grappling wire. It certainly is not enough to scale down the entire building. The fall from the end of the wire would be lethal.

You will have to go inside.

"I think we can elude them," Foghren says. "You've always taught me the importance of going unseen."

"Elude them we shall," Rand says. Could they take the air vents? It would be a simple thing for Rand to pull off the grate and climb in.
