STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Gunrunner

You can consider the vents a viable option. The climate of Davashad tends toward warm due to the greenhouse effect its factories' polluting belches facilitate, so powerful air conditioning seems likely in the cold, sterile building you are currently in.

It will be Intrusion to reach it quietly and a second Intrusion roll to get in without drawing attention. In this hangar, it is covered by a heavy grate.

Rand will be as sneaky as possible and probably use the Force to remove the grate so there isn't permanent damage that they could notice...

Mind you, Presence does not work for the cameras monitoring the hangar. No guards, at least.

Rand has Precision, could he try to angle the cameras away?

Security would probably notice the cameras moving, unless they're all asleep.

(They're not.)

Then staying clear of the cameras will have to work. Rand will maneuver into place and start pulling down the grate.

Without Presence, your Intrusion score sits at a whole 4 dice. You roll a single success, not enough for you sneak across the hangar undetected.

Alarms start to sound...

Too late to put some Guidance into that roll? How did Foghren fair?

It will take two points, if you want to make the spend.

Foghren rolled just fine. He's much more agile and skilled in that regard.

And then I have to roll again when we get to the grate? Or can Foghren make that roll to get the grate open?

Foghren could make that roll but not with the Force, as you had planned.

Hmm... that is quite a spend but the whole intention of sneaking around goes if we get caught. Rand will make that spend begrudgingly.

Spend made! You manage to creep across the hangar to the massive grate you intend to vanish through. Foghren can very quickly and quietly pry it from its hinges by cutting some of the securing bolts with his lightsaber and letting you lower it gently with the Force.

Consider yourselves off the grid. Now what?

Rand simply wants to get out of the building, taking the cooling vents down to the lower recesses of the massive complex and down to the city streets. He will use the Force to slow any fans or remove any grates that get in the way.

He tells Foghren to be careful not to damage anything permanently.

Consider grates removed, no problem.

But funny should mention fans...

The fans present a different challenge. You can certainly make some Force rolls to slow or stop them with Lifting, allowing Foghren to jump through. But he cannot do the same for you. You will need to time your jumps through (an Agility check that a normal being could never pass).

What happens if I fail?

You take damage relative to how badly you fail the roll.

How exciting...

How many times must I do this?

I will certainly still try to slow them with the Force for Foghren so he doesn't take any damage. If not because he wants to look out for his Padawan, then maybe more because Rand wants the fighting-capable student to be untouched before anything comes to blows. Rand is still a Jedi Master right now but he's slipping...

Possessing the power of a Master, I can rule that Rand might be able to sense ahead and see how many times he needs to pull off that stunt.

Additionally, a spend on Dash can bypass each one.

I'm not going to blow more Force points on silly obstacles. Rand will try to clear his mind and reach out into the air ducts with his mind, sensing for their route of there with his highly attuned senses, honed from years of Jedi training.
