Getting anything less than first in Halo is pretty easy. The game is so balanced that anyone can play it and be at least above average; that's the reason it's MP has a fanbase as large as it is (imo, because Halo MP bores me).

Shooting someone 3 times; getting the hit makers and punching them, only to have them turn around and punch you once to death isn't balanced. The mechanics of PvP are all ****ed; they've always been.

Similar maps, layout and screaming retarded children as before making it boring/annoying is an entirely different issue, of which Halo PvP suffers severely from.

If you have full shields and someone kills you in one hit with a melee attack, that sounds like a latency issue. I've put about 40 or so hours into the game and that's never happened to me, and I've been meleed plenty of times.

Also, unfortunately if you play with people online there is always input lag for some reason. Only in this mode - VS multiplayer is fine.

What happens when you hit it?

You don't level up(duh) but your XP doesn't stack like it did on Reach. So basically you will be wasting commendations and challenges that could be used to increase your rank. So I'll be stuck at 70 with no more specializations until 343 decides to stop being douchebags and email me a code to unlock the rest of the specializations. At least in Reach your XP stacked until the cap was lifted. So you didn't really waste anything. This on the other hand...meh. What gives. So what if people boost/have no lives. Its worse to just piss them off by stopping them from leveling. LE owners don't hit the cap because they have early access to the specializations ~_~
