I think is have two lists. The first I rationalize as the strongest team herald level and less... The second would just be due to interesting story arcs.
Power: Thor. The last time he had it I'm fairly sure even eternity commented on it.
Reality: quasar. Simply to adjust his bands so that all energy used against him is altered to a kind within the em spectrum... This he can exercise considerable control and defense against anything
Space: hulk. A guy that's already an incredible brick... Who most people defeat by bfr.... Except with te space gem he'd never be left stranded anywhere anymore... And noone would be able to escape him.... Juggollusus is also applicable...
Time: Reed Richards. Given time the guy can create almost any device. There was even a time when he understood a little bit of magic. Given absolute control over time I'd imagine him to be an almost unbeatable prep god deus ex machina
Mind: while my first thought was Xavier.... It's his fault we have onslaught so I'll lean away from him here. Instead I choose justice. A kid who to me carries a good heart, and has some control over this kind of power. With the gem he'd kick it up to the nth degree making for possibly one of the best evenness around...
Soul: daimon hellstorm. The guy has fought demons since he was born. His father is Satan. Makes sense to round off his magical abilities with a little something extra.
As for stories.. Let me think
To make it interesting:
Power: boom boom. Imagine with a flick a time bomb with the power level of a nuke going off
Space: ghost rider. Instant vengeance all day every day. Forget the bike, the whole world would be penance stared to heck within hours.
Time: bishop. The guy is all about correcting his own personal future. Why if he had unlimited attempts to make it right?
Reality: domino. She has already displayed "luck" powers. This would just increase the limits of what her subconscious could do. Also longshot.
Mind: amadeus cho. Sure he's not the smartest guy around... But when you know your opponents thoughts you can cheat on the tests and go from 8 to number 1. Lol.
Soul: dr doom. If he reclaims his mothers soul from hell... Well heck what else would he do.
