What was it then? Did you read the comic? It was a strength feat. He contained the explosion, by matching the pressure of the explosion and overcoming it via brute strength. You should read the book if you haven't, and then get back to me on how stupid my post seemed to you.

Re read the comic, he physically overpowered the explosion with brute strength, it was not energy absorption.
Yeah you should go back and check it for yourself, it was a strength feat, and nothing less than one.

Absorbing the blast of the ship made him stronger correct? The Planet did not explode, because he literally outraced the explosion in terms of exerting more pressure than the yield of the eminent explosion of the planet.

Really now, your take on the story is different than mine. What explosion are you speaking of? The planet did not blow up, he denied the explosion, he didn't absorb anything except the explosion of the ship. He picked up a tectonic plate, shifted it, and held it in place which denied the planet from exploding... What absorption feat are you speaking of? Now you have me questioning things, so when I get back home I'll check the book over.
The crazy thing here is to even argue the feat, as we all saw the Hulk vape a planet from just the energy of a punch that wasn't even aimed at the planet in question. Kurse has never done anything that even resembles this, not to mention that Kurse is only 4x Thor, and Thor can still exceed this when he goes apeshit, and the Hulk has gone toe to toe with an apeshit Thor.
Kurse would get skinned by the Hulk, because the hulk would simply overpower him, when he races right past his strength level.
