It was one basic brawl between a post apocalyptic military grunt and a town head.
And remembering how Zan died, as Heavy Metal as it was seems to be the origin of why this thread was made in the first place.

The problem is than Van Zan (and Quinn) in their few feats outshined pretty much everything McClane has ever done. They took on dragons to the face while McClane had to hide in a tunnel to take on a stationary helicopter

Nah they didn't. McClane has destroyed things bigger than dragons single handedly. You are causing the yawns as Quinn helped unzip Van Zan and had to guide Van Zan to the hole, anyway..

And show me and incident where Van Zan single handedly survived against the Dragons with no losses of life. for him or his men.
Espcially any clips where a big team coordinated effort wasn't needed to cheap shot a dragon with a harpoon when it was chasing distractionary fodder... Van Zan wasn't shit.

can you present a single scene of van zan doing anything remotely badass? just one scene if you will. we're all familiar with his triumphant leap in the air. kinda like playing "catch the milkbone" with him playing the part of milkbone....but i found that more stupid than badass...

anyway we already established that he was aiming for quinn and thus quinn deserved the credit for luring the dragon into a vulnerable position (heading straight toward van zan and thus a stationary target).
