USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II POST EPISODE V RENEGADE INTERLUDE- Payday

Yes- not quite that bad, but still worth worrying about.

I will use my Coordination at no cost (if possible) while cutting into the vehicle. If things turn south, I will form a new plan. It's just, my productive options are a bit limited at this point, and I don't want to give up on the Juggernaut. Thanks for the warning though, all.

No worries, it's not quite as bad as I thought it would be.

Refresh time!

Xeth jumps aboard as Wentar roars back to the fallen tanker.

Digi is cutting through the juggernaut, passing an Agility roll to stay on it as it finishes turning- it will be heading back north still. Of course, the sabre is not a stealth weapon, and those within know you are cutting in.

Now the superfight begins! It;s more like raiders circling a wagon train now... The first fight is evens on both sides. The attackers roll two successes the defenders' three! Now it is no longer a chase, they cannot stop the bad guys moving in, but they take no hits this round. Except for the leader, who attacks them separately. He does not score a kill though.

The grapplers are going for the tanker!

Am I still cutting, or am I in? I continue, if not, with Coordination up. And damn that stupid refresh, it came a turn or two too soon. Can't count on another now.

Also, I didn't take any damage. If I'm not being attacked outside the juggernaut, I'm not leaping right in...I'd like to see if anyone pokes their head out or something.

Still cutting- it's a big sod!

Ah, caution is wise... but you won't be finished cutting until this turn is done.

"Do we want to try getting the others to handle the grapplers while we lure the attack speeders, or do you want to ram a grappler and have me finish him off?" Xeth asks Wentar as he straps back into the gun and gets ready to blast things.

"The grapplers aren't our biggest threat right now," Wentar replies. "It's the firepower from their escorts that we need to cut down."

Wentar is going to ram Pirate 2-man H.

I want the convoy to keep focusing fire on the 2-man cars. Except for the Supertanker, if it's guns still work I want it to fire on 6-man grappler H.

Depending on how things go for us we'll start hitting the damaged Grapplers next turn I think, Xeth. Unless ignoring the grapplers this turn IS a very bad idea on my part.

Tilulla finishes cutting through the top, and as she expresses caution, she is ready to hack down the armed guy who popped his head out. That;s one down! Sadly they are not battle droids and the rest won't keep following. Also, damage to the juggernaut or not, Tilulla, looks like some of those escorts may try and pick you off after all...

Wentar- no luck this turn; a 2-2 stand off. The two of you lock together, but he manages to wrench free. Does at least count him out the fight this turn!

Which is another 2-2 draw, as a 4-man for the defenders takes a hit in the crossfire. The tanker is still taking hits too- they can't help but hit it. The pirate leader destroys 2-A, and a bunch of pirate reinforcements are arriving to the centre next turn

The cargo hold on the tanker has been breached, and some black stuff is rolling out of it.

...9 to go.

I leap in.

Ush, this should be fairly close quarters. Can I get the number in "close combat" range of me before I decide my next action? It matters greatly for my Riposte tap.

You can get next to two.

Will that ever potentially change? Or two maxr?

I think it's three max but I'd still say that's good odds.

Last turn, since Xeth didn't shoot, he will have fired at Pirate 2-E.

This turn, Xeth shoots at Pirate 2-H as Wentar is locked tight with him. If Wentar finishes him off first, Xeth will fire at 2-G.

I'm going to burn a Force point on Ward now that I'm in. I'll wait to see if I can get three at close range for a Riposte tap.

I turn toward the majority and attack the nearest.

Black stuff is the gold or its fuel?

If we include both our 2 and 4 man car and ignore their 6 man grapplers our forces are at even numbers.

Wentar will indeed ram Pirate 2-H again, intent on knocking out this pirate. At the same time hoping the Force is with Xeth's shot on 2-G.

Same orders for the convoy, focus fire on the 2-man buggies.

I forget, is it possible for us to leap onto the leaders car and fight him there?

Tilulla has entered a highly dangerous situation there, Due to the cramped confines, only four people can shoot at her, being two on either side, but she'll only ever get close to two, likewise. Riposte will do nothing unless she misses, which is the only way any of them will be at point blank range. Well, she sure as heck started well, as she takes just one damage this turn...

Wentar goes for his ram, taking a point off of his target, Xeth- it is NOT easy to fire under those circumstances! The whole world keeps juddering, almost as if you are repeatedly hitting a large metallic object... you only manage to reduce H's structure one point further.

Wentar- you can try but it will result in the others concentrating fire on you. Your cover in this combat is the general melee of it all. Talking of which...

0-3 to the defenders! A pirate vehicle goes down. But the leader still gets a hit in.

Wentar- primitive they may be, but these vehicles run off of chemical fuel. You've no idea what that stuff is.

Seems the pirates are shifting tactics. The grapplers make a sudden run on the 4-men as their reinforcements arrive!

Oh dear...

Nice work Tillula! Feel free to give us a yell if you need advice here.

Okay! Xeth I vote that you try take out Grappler H, Grappler A or finish off the 2 man's on 1 or 0 hp.

Can Wentar try and get in the way of the pirate leaders shots?

Also what will happen if a 4 man gets boarded?

Honestly, if you give H a light nudge it will explode. If Xeth rolls well he can take out E too, so then we drop two ships! We need that edge.

That's true. But I think Ush was hinting that my ramming is negatively affecting your guns score pretty badly. Unless that was just flavor text.

Still if you want to risk it I'll ram H again this turn.

It probably is but I'm willing to chance it right now.
