USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II POST EPISODE V RENEGADE INTERLUDE- Payday

Xeth tries to ignore the blaring sunlight and keep his eyes focused on the convoy's perimeter, waiting for any signs of trouble.

Wentar squints his eyes. "Driving in this sun wont be fun," he says, settling into the drivers seat. "Though I guess it should be easy to spot any pirates, assuming the light isn't in our eyes."

They do indeed have water available, yes!

Time to go then. The crates are loaded and the convoy is heading off.

-

Wentar... who do you feel? Hmm. Something seems instinctively off.

Anyway. Tilulla has to stick with the super-buggy, but what position relative to the convoy will Xeth and Wentar take?

Stay close if possible, guys. Ush gave us some potential foreshadowing about me feeling isolated up top.

Or not...but trying to dig into the mind of the GM is fun. 😉

I'll put my hood up and remain crouched and motionless, surveying the landscape and keeping my sense attuned.

I say Xeth and Wentar should be towards the front of the convoy, but not the first car. Tillula can watch the rear from her super buggy and let us know if she spots anything, I hope.

Something off, eh? Hmmm. Could be any number of things, such as having over half of our Jedi unable to fight, though I hope that's not the case or something to do with the sun/heat.

Probably just sunstroke!

Ok, you guys will go as the second car unless I hear different by tomorrow.

Then you guys are off into the dry plains! These vehicles are extremely loud, and the convoy as a whole makes a terrific roaring buzz as you blast off across the landscape.

The small buggies handle rather well!

That's good to know!

Do we have any idea of when the Pirates usually attack?

As far from safety as possible, so not within reasonable range of the starport or city, else parts of the convoy might be able to flee.

Xeth just keeps an eye out, but notices that Wentar seems a little distracted while driving.

"Something bothering you, buddy?" Xeth asks. "You seem like you're thinking about something."

"I feel something is off, Xeth," Wentar says, not taking his eyes off the road.

"My instincts are trying to tell me something but I just can't figure out what it could be... perhaps our placement in the convoy or something we've forgotten," he shakes his head. "I do not know."

Can I check for bombs or anything suspicious on the main transport while we're moving? If so, I do.

A bomb on the outside where you are standing is unlikely! Besides, what would a bomb on the main carrier achieve?

Damn, this dust is harsh on your eyes...

-

Wentar, now your bad feeling is becoming rather more focussed on your journey. Trouble is afoot.

Crap, you're right. Gotta step up my game...they need the cargo in one piece.

Can we get them to change course? Are there multiple routes? I feel like we might be heading for an ambush.

Well it is an open plain, so you can make up any route you like, but any deviations will delay as they are taking the straight line.

Hmmm, do we know what direction the attacks come from?

Do you mean from post records or from sensing now?

(Note- never say 'both' when a GM asks you an either/or...)

Sensing now, I want to try figure out this bad feeling of mine.

I wouldn't mind maybe one medium-sized course change, just to avoid the predictability of a straight line. Maybe use Wentar's sense indicators to help us make that decision.

Bad feeling is Intuition and can be hard to pin down. Though in any case, not a great Force roll I am afraid, Wentar!

How do you want to communicate that, Tilulla?
