So instead of countering my points with screen-feats, you rant about "he said!" Typical.Fine, what did Achilles say that makes Hector > Maximus?

LoL, can you at least try not to fist your own ass?
Skill against Achilles? When Achilles was toying with him the whole time; you even agreed to this. LoL.
Hector killing the Greek cannon fodder is not different than Maximus killing the Germanic cannon fodder.
Hector killing Ajax with trickery isn't more impressive than Maximus defeating Titus while defending himself against tigers or even Maximus tearing through five gladiators with ease.
Hector killing Achilles' cousin? See above.
Originally posted by RobtardYes, but Achilles also said he was the greatest opponent he ever had. You can't accept certain things while ignoring others. Achilles' statement is a fact here. He was the greatest he ever fought.

Achilles' cousin was not cannon fodder.
No, it isn't but being Achilles' best opponent is proof enough for me. I honestly see Achilles routing Maximus. It wouldn't last 1/3 as long as the Hector fight.
LoL, again with fisting your own ass...
Achilles was clearly toying with him, so just STFU and accept you ****ed your own point with some dignity, man.
Achilles' cousin was nothing special, as seen.
Achilles would defeat Maximus, but that is not the match-up here, stop trying to derail with your nonsense.
I think someone found the closest to perfect battle when it comes to "same level of abilities." So we must ask ourselves, "Can we really answer this?"
Or is it down to fanboy factionism yet?
By the way, Quanchi -
Achilles is not full-on god, and even if he was, he could still be killed - Greek gods were born and would die because the Greeks based them off themselves.
Even being half-god, I know this isn't the thread, but being an Elf in The Lord of the Rings is kind of the same thing, except they don't have ankle issues.
And Anakin Skywalker was stalk-full of potential even he wasn't yet Vader. He was precognitive, as is proved when he forsees his wife's death. And we've already seen him off several baddies one on a handful.
PLUS. Any fight Achilles enters is handicapped already because he has to NOT WANT TO FIGHT.
So please. He is not the perfect fighter. But that's the point of the vs. threads - to see if characters' handicaps outweigh their skills, and vice versa.
Oh-kay, sorry to go off-topic so much.
I think it should be a rule that you must provide either precise description or the part of the film regarding the movie feats that people want to use. Otherwise there's too much "it didn't happen that way!" "but I interpreted it differently" and so forth and so on.
Blegh. I've been wanted to get that out these vs. forums for a long time. Apologies for the verbal vomit.
I'm leaning towards Maximus for two reasons:
1. His name is Maximus.
2. This quote:
"My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the armies of the north, general of the Felix Legions. Loyal servant to the true Emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next."

I have given my reasoning why so cry elsewhere please. I hate how my opinion just cuts into your soul. Get over me.
@Sirius
I never once used he's a half god type line of reasoning. He clearly has superhuman strength and skill but can be killed/defeated like 99 percent of fictional characters.

Your man-crush is equal parts hilarious and sad, please keep it up. Screen-feats > your desires in here, sorry.
Anytime you don't want to debate me cos you can't handle it please just ignore my post instead of doing the typical dodge-fallacy-dance. It's not a problem; I understand.
Originally posted by RobtardI brought up screen feats as well.

This fight is pretty close as most readily admit just because I go against Maximus you don't have to get all emo on me.

Not really, your argument hinges on "what Achilles said" ad nauseum, none of your points countered the fights I clearly spelled out for Maximus. Maybe you should try debating your point(s) instead of clowning?
More clown-tactics, expected. I told you above, if you can't handle me crushing(you can't) your arguments time and again, just ignore, K?
Originally posted by RobtardIt has to do with what he said and his on screen feats along with Achilles' on screen feats. You trying to minimize my argument is another concession.

I ignore nothing. Hector edges him out in a close one.
Originally posted by RobtardI gave screen feats and they were over elite opponents.
Achilles isn't in this fight, so stop your nonsense. Spoken words do not counter screen-feats, sorry again. You ignore anything that destroys your silly arguments, which is every time you post. Hectos doesn't have what it takes. Maximus wins, cos he's better as seen.
Why doesn't Hector have what it takes ? The guy was the silver medalist in a movie with Achilles so I fail to see your point.

That was how they survived in Kronos stomach, because they were immortal.

Also, what weapons they each get is kind of important to know.
