The Avengers 2012

yeah i doubt spiderman is in this film let alone the sequel..

i think that it is just fanboy speculation as people want spidey to be an avenger on film to mesh with the fact that he is an avenger in the comics..

Looking at some early reviews for this (all have sang its praises so far), I predict this movie is going to be a MASSIVE hit, not only with fans, but also financially and with critics as well.

boring...I say it will be a sack of shit and the box office will be like no we cant give refunds..no. no way man!

It would be awesome if DC made a Justice League movie like this one.

They did have plans for one few years back but it eventually got cancelled.

Superman - leader and an opponent of anyone?
Martian Manhunter - I'm not sure who
Batman - Black Widow and Batman might be an epic story to tell if they will fight
The Flash - Oh great, this is just absurd... I really don't know.
Green Lantern - Iron Man is much more likely Green lantern but I'm interested to see how well if they will fight
Wonder Woman - She and Capt. America both have stars and shield (round shield for Capt. America and hand metallic bands for Wonder Woman), lets see which shields & stars are tougher
Hawkgirl

The Avengers:

Captain America = leader, opponent could be Wonder Woman
Thor = could be matched with Hawkgirl
Green Hulk = Superman?
Iron Man = I don't know Green Lantern?
Hawk Eye = The Flash
Black Widow = Batman
Spiderman = Martian Manhunter

You could comment or suggest... this is just a part of my wildest imagination... and I don't even know if these I so called rivalries will ever happen...

Considering Iron Man 1-2, Captain America, Thor and both Hulk films (esp 2008) where very popular and financially profitable, it's almost guaranteed this film will not pull a John Carter.

Looks predictable, they dont get a long, they have to learn team work and fight the enemy, they win.

But we shall see how it fills in. Still looking forward to it and I'll check it in theaters.

i am expecting an opening weekend of at least $ 150 million and an global total cume of $700-$800 when all is said and done

It turns out I can watch it in 2D from the 26th April, phew!, I was getting worried with all this stupid format confusion. Looking forward to this a lot, going to bring out the leather jacket in Gone in 60 Seconds fashion for this occasion. Although I doubt I could beat Cage's 'I am a bad man!' delivery.

Interesting non-essential fact about The Avengers I read this week is that Scarlett Johansson is completely naked under that suit of hers. That took a lot of consideration. Just thought I'd share, you know...

The 3D version is actually pretty high quality. You'll be happy with both.
