What's your take on the plothole which was pointed out in the plothole thread

That's the thing that ever bothered me about this film, and even then I didn't learn about until after. When the scene occurred, I was thinking less about the combat tactics and more about the beautiful scenery of them being lifted into space and withstanding atmospheric re-entry, scenery we wouldn't have seen if she just deployed the wristblades immediately. So it's a plot hole I am more than willing to forgive.

..it's not? ha-son

Of course not...i don't get why people are trying to compare this movie to real world facts.

I thought it was a documentary... 😕

Pffft shut up Kaz, there's obviously a portal under the ocean where giant monsters from another dimension are coming through 🙄

I get it now

The fact that they didn't animate the robots like something out of Sinbad does, however, suggest that they wanted to achieve a greater degree of realism than you can appreciate, it seems.

As such, all my observations are perfectly in the spirit of the film, would have helped to further secure its "footing" in the real world and might have ultimately made it a better film.

Still, as I acknowledged right from the start, awesome entertainment and enjoyable despite the flaws.

Guillermo del Toro working on a script for the sequel with Zak Penn

Good news i suppose, I think Del Toro should get rid of Zak Penn tho.

In before Zak Penn gets kicked out of the project and replaced with a more competent scriptwriter.
