Seriously. I've been having a good laugh at people losing their shit all over the internet. It's the Phoenix Force people. Driving people insane is pretty much the only thing it has ever done... who in their right mind thought that this was going to be any different?
Everyone one but Scott (and the Phoenix Five) guessed that this is what was coming... which is why Cap interfered in the first place. Cyclops is Gandalf if he took the one ring. 😎

Idk about that. he has to be aware of what he's done on some level. He's been surrounded by the most powerful telepaths all his life. His mental defenses should be pretty tough so there's no reason hes not seeing what he/Phoenix is doing.

Given the lack of consistency, im sure they just forgot.
Looks as though AvX will be milked long after issue 12 of the main series comes out. A+X, the Mutant/Avenger Team-up mini will take over from the AvX: VS tie-ins in November, Wolverine and Hulk will take on Old Man Logan and the Maestro in issue #1.
