🙁

At least I have Avengers Alliance, Ultimate Alliance and SSO to keep me going.

And of course Marvel Heroes.

Apparently, the finale more or less just puts the nail in the coffin as far as a certain mutant's character regression.

Sorry in advance, Pr.

First Colossus, then Cyclops, PR better pray that Superman doesn't get a similar character development scenario or you're going to be up the creek 😛

lol. He was getting it up until the reboot.

And now Morrison is leaving Action Comics. 🙁

That sucks.

And I stopped reading this event as it just couldn't keep my interest.

Terrible last issue Scott went out like a chump, even managed to slip in his best "Kill meeee!" Bob impression. Felt very much like the final issue of Siege, heroes have no chance then all of a sudden the tide is turned and even Captain America can suddenly harm a full Phoenix powered Scott.

Best things about this issue was another Thor one-shot, Hulk being punched from Sydney, Australia to Sacramento, California and Cyclops' character assassination is finally at an end.

Thor got one-shotted again facepalm

lol, it's not nearly over. Bendis ftl.

and issue 12 was a ****ing mess. It's hard to believe Marvel lets people like that write their comics.

The worst of it should be over at least, it's scary to me that Bendis gets the kind of power he does at Marvel. Really not a fan of his work.

bwahahaha

That Wanda meme thread is pretty hilarious.

Reminded me a little of this webcomic, which everyone here should know about:

I'm glad I barely read comics anymore.

Looks like zopzop was right :

Zopzop is a national treasure

Cyclops was right from the beginning. And his defiance at the end of Uncanny X-Men #19 was nothing less than triumphant.

If Hope would have gotten the Force right away without the Fist training she would have likely molested everything.

^ Based on the track record of Phoenix hosts... Jean, Rachel, Wolverine, Scott... you're probably right.

That.
Also like the end of WWH.
Anyways:
Two questions:
1- Where in the Lord of **** was Reed Richards?! Isn't "cosmic events" his thing? He would have solved that too.

2- On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the ****ing worst, how much this arc sucked?

^ 1. New Avengers 29 revealed he chose to not take a side. At that point, the Phoenix Five were actually making the world a better place, except for when the Avengers were aggravating tensions. Which was true. Then things escalated rather quickly so it wasn't like he had much to offer by the time Cyclops quickly descended into becoming the Dark Phoenix.

2. I loved it? Xavier's and Iron Fist's role in the whole thing felt forced, but I was pretty hooked on the whole thing. So 8 for me on a scale of 10 being best (just inverted your scale.

His flip-flopping in issue 12 was terrible. First he wants to die, then he talks about responsibility, and then he tries to justify it.

Of course, the premise of the entire thing is bs. Nobody hates the Phoenix more than Cyclops does, yet he's now it's biggest bloody supporter.

^ The schizophrenic attitude when he was Dark Phoenix wasn't any different than when Jean was Dark Phoenix. In the epilogue, Scott obviously knew he brought the planet to the brink of destruction when he tried to possess the entire Phoenixforce and took responsibility for that, but revitalizing the spark of mutantkind was his goal the entire time. And in his opinion, it was worth it.

I've got nothing but admiration for his defiance. Obviously, mileages vary.
