Sphinx with 2 stones would solo.Galactus barely beat him with one stone before.
Originally posted by superbatman86Yes, after basically testing the Sphinx and beating him up somewhat, the unharmed Galactus smiled, called Sphinx a "flea", absorbed his power and crushed the stone. With one Ka stone the battle didn't look even close.
It wasn't barely and at the end he nuked the stone.
Yet just a few pages before, Sphinx was claiming he could destroy a planet with the wave of his hand and tear apart a galaxy on a whim. He overrated himself (he did beat up Terrax in 2 seconds though).

But... all that said, Sphinx with 2 stones was a different beast. And he has some heavy hitting help with him this time.
He has Zemo for heavy hitting help...
Lulz. It's funny how things are perceived so differently by people reading the sane damn book. The Sphinx with one stone gave big G a nice run until G turned it up a notch. That's what the comic clearly portrayed and anything beyond that is conjecture. And that was before the sphinx even began to grasp how powerful he truly was (reality, time, probability manipulation etc).
Destroying the stone is nothing but a temporary inconvenience for the Sphinx as has been shown over and over again.
As I said, with two he was going to rewrite the laws of physics, casualty etc on a universal scale. He takes it.

I think even Zemo would ultimately prove to be inconsequential in this match tbh. It's Galactus vs the Sphinx.

He was going to. What'd he accomplish though? The guy got paradoxed, and his only real battle feat was against Nova... What we saw was a cracked out 'God' with high aspirations.
Originally posted by dmillsTo be fair, Galactus was never damaged at all, called Sphinx's attacks ludicrous, bitchslapped him, and was smiling. While Sphinx was visibly taking damage and not one of his attacks seemd to be more than a minor annoyance. It wasn't that close. But I agree that Sphinx was relatively new to his powers.

2 x Ka Sphinx was certainly powerful, but we can only go on what he did, not what he thought he was potentially capable of - remember Sphinx also claimed he could defeat Galactus, then when that didn't go well, claimed he was evenly matched with Galactus. Then he got crushed by Galactus.
So that's why I teamed him up, because we only had a limited view of his feats.

You know what, I'll concede that to a point. However I don't think that it takes a genius to extrapolate what he would've been capable of. At least for the sake of the thread, a bit of conjecture is called for. So having said that, I guess the best place to start would be establishing an agreed upon baseline of power did the Sphinx with one ka stone. Then we can work from there.
