Guys can we stop with this whole breathing in space none sense. Who cares if he just holds his breath for a really long time, or actually breathes in space?? Pretty irrelevant to the topic of strength.
the reality is that he really shouldn't his cells directly metabolize sunlight which by my understanding of it is that it is a direct process and his body converts it raw without any necessary additions... which mind you would be impossible even in comic as he'd have to consume such huge quantities of food and water in order to sustain a reaction. So by that train of thought oxygen shouldn't be a necessity at all for him considering his cells store and produce a steady flow of energy so long as he's under a yellow sun. I suppose if he got caught out in a red sun system then he'd need air but otherwise it really shouldn't affect him one way or another.

Not always. Example. Captain Marvel strength ft fall very short compared to people like Superman and Thor and Captain Marvel has stalemated Superman a couple of times in a contest of strength

Another example. Black Adam strength fta doesn't compare to Superman and Thor but a non-holding back Superman couldn't even move Adam out of the city they were fighting in.

Fts are good SOMETIMES but common sense is better.

Superman has never pushed 50 earth weights. Only your warped mind would think this.

You didn't quite read what I posted. I'll re post (follow the bold):

"Isn't it feats that determine who is stronger if two characters never faced off before?"

Thor and Superman never faced off so we must go by feats. Thus Superman is stronger.

I have proven countless times that Superman exerted over 50 Earth weights of force before. If you don't understand the math then I can break it down in elementary terms for you.

No he isn't.

Remember a negative is always true unless proven otherwise.

It has been proven that Superman is stronger by quantifiable feats. Do the math.

Superman almost came by feeling the power of Thor. Superman might be slightly stronger but Thor is a lot more powerful than Superman can ever hope to be.

Thor is very powerful considering he's from a small world and everything.

Thor isn't gigantic and Superman didn't know the size of his world so the comments just refer to his size not his overall power which intimidated Superman.

So iti had nothing to do with Thor's power which I am fine with. 🙂

So first there is lying and then there is denial 😛

If you cannot accept that Superman was trash talking and you feel inclined to think he went "hey Thor, before I hit you let me give you some geographical observations about your Earth", that's your business, but frankly I don't quite buy it 🙂

I was being sarcastic I just don't like when Superman fans act like he wasn't trash talking.

Even GL stated that Superman was being harsh...acting "out of character".

You just said it and you're a selfconfesed Superman fan 😄

But I get your sarcasm, mine tends to be filled with and unhealthy amount of emoticons.

If Superman was a real person I'd make an attempt on taking his life.

You know, I've never actually seen the proof - a lot of people have mocked it and made a joke of it, but I've never actually seen it.

Ah but according to you in comics there are many times when the Science is faulty so we suspend disbelief...

And if you can't apply the science...

Then quit killing kittens. If you won't cease I will call the humane society.

When you stop lying I will.

If only THAT were true.

You admit to being a kitten killer?! Oh golly. Do you at least bake them into pies when you are done with them?

Not according to me but everyone. That's not to say that science can't be applied to some things in comics (such as quantifiable feats). Otherwise, we couldn't know if Thor was stronger than Aquaman.

STDs can be destructive, but calling that an attempt against his life is misleading 😈

But who are YOU to choose when it is right or wrong to use?
