The bottom of the panel shows the title of the new story arc. “That which Odin Fears”. This is one of many times this will be stated.
Loki stating that Odin fears Mangog.
Mangog’s race almost destroyed Asgard. The creation of Mangog was the only way out. And, again, another statement about Odin fearing Mangog. One of many.
Odin sent Thor on the quest for the other Mystic Well to save Thor from Mangog.
Odin sent Thor away because he doesn’t think anybody in Asgard will survive.
Odin admits that he CANNOT defeat Mangog.
The warriors three state that Odin would be helpless before Mangog and that all the power of Asgard couldn’t defeat Mangog. Why would the writers put that into the book, unless that is an important part of the story? It is the KEY to this story arc.
Over and over, Odin says that the only way he could save Thor was to send him away while Mangog comes to Asgard.
All Odin was able to do, was imprison Mangog. Mangog had defeated Asgard and was simply roaming around, looking for Odin. Odin’s last resort was to shunt Asgard to save the universe.
Odin knew the fight would not go well. He moved Asgard because that would keep the universe safe. Odin KNEW Mangog would win and be able to draw the Odin Sword.
Everything else failed. There was no defeating Mangog. It says it right here. In order to save the universe, Odin shunted Asgard.
Mangog’s power continued growing as they fought him. Not only absorbing the negative feelings, but throw each strike against him and every attack.
Odin admits that the battle with Mangog has totally sapped him. Then, after Thor adds the waters from the 2nd Mystical Well to Odin’s personal waters, Odin bathes in them. He states that this has RENEWED and EXTENDED his strength.
Even with the amp, it drained the last of Odin’s life to cut Mangog off from his power source. Even then, it still didn’t destroy Mangog, it just weakened and shrunk him.
Since, in the first Mangog story arc, Odin released Mangog's race from imprisonment, thinking this was the only way to win, and Mangog returned anyway, Odin had to come up with something else.
He had to amp his power with a 2nd Mystical Well's power, and even then, just de-powering Mangog, not destroying him, ended up killing Odin.
Mangog walked away, (somewhat smaller in stature), but Odin died. Straight up.
I am pretty sure that, based on Quanchi's rules, this is a 2nd on-panel win for Mangog against Odin.

He used to be listed with the "Big Boys". I will try to find what I am talking about.
But, it makes sense. A being fueled by universal hate, regardless of distance or dimensional borders. Not to mention the fact that he has been shown to gain power from other sources as well, such as violence and even praise.
