Well, it introduced a character and told us what he was about in one go. It revealed a fair amount about the organization- they have their own travel method, they have bankais, plural (in addition to meddling with other's bankai apparently), and they have a strong leader.
Plus I did visually like it, and the half-burned guy looked cool.
OP was a bit slower paced, though it did have cool bits like Nico's imagine spot and Tafalgar Law!

~ Meh, I liked Bleach more than Naruto this week. The Madara vs. Kage fight is starting to drag out now. This is the third chapter where he's patronized them, praised Hashirama, and whooped ass. It's awesome, but I kind of want to get back to Naruto vs. Tobi. If he extends these fights, it's likely we'll have three fights happening concurrently, what with Itachi, Sasuke & Kabutomaru meeting up now.
Plus Bleach had that manly man at the end, and Yamamoto looked like he was scared shitless.

Dude, we spent loads of chapters with Tobi vs Naruto & Crew. I can deal with Madara's giant man crush. But yeah, we'll probably be focusing more on Uchiha bros vs Kabutomaru, with cuts to Kage vs Madara. Which is fine.

We did, but he did not end that fight. That's really why I want to get back to it. Don't get me wrong, Madara's the best thing in this arc so far IMO, but I don't want Kishi to leave fights hanging.

Eh. I prefer it this way. Once Kabuto beats Itachi, Madara beats the Kage, and Tobi captures Bee we can see a two page spread of them walking away all badass with the narrative comments being all "OH SHI-!"
Keep in mind, him dying would have done that as well.

Yes, Battle Angel Alita and it's sequel, Battle Angel Alita Last Order. Dystopian future with cyborgs.
The first series takes place in a place called 'the scrapyard,' a town at the base of a floating city that lives off of their trash.
A Doctor-slash-bounty hunter (called Hunter Warriors) discovers a cyborg girl in the scrap heap and repairs her. She turns out to somehow know the ancient Martian martial art, Panzer Kunst. Lots of stuff happens.
Often dark, sometimes gory, but very good.
