Objectively, Bleach was ****ing awful, what the hell are you talking about?
We got our worfs, we got our favorite Captains preparing for war, and we got Nel being cute. And some answers I supoose, since it has been confirmed that these guys are Quincy's, even if we kinda already knew that. And it ended with the cliff hanger for a fight.
In One Piece, we got the crew uniting and more people being switched around, the reveal of the new villain, and this new guys powers. No set up for the next fight but tons of comedy I suppose, even if it's based on one gag. The best comedy was Franky complaining about his shirt.
Naruto...well we got to see a new move that killed the shit outta Itachi, which is always awesome. Sasuke getting to save him for a change, and a fleshed out backstory that adds more to Kabuto's character I suppose.
Having Worf get the crap beaten out of him to establish the situation is FO SERIOUS YO isn't a positive. Its a cheap storytelling device and worse here in that it occurs off-screen. We're supposed to take the guy seriously because he beat those 3, even though they themselves aren't that impressive anyway but we can't because we havn't actually see him doing anything. I get that Kubo wants to keep the threat mysterious and build up tension for the next fight by making us speculate on how he beat them, but he's already established the guys a Quincy and we already know how Quincy fight.
Nel was cute and I appreciate SS not just sitting on their asses or treating this almost as a joke like they did with Aizen. But that doesn't make this chapter anything great.

It's very hard to get around using Worfs. Law for example has curbed Smoker and Tashigi recently to show how leet he has become. At least it happening offscreen keeps the enemies powers a mystery . Even though they're Quincy, that doesn't strictly mean they will fight like Ishida.
Oh this chapter isn't great. I don't think any of the chaps were. I just think this one is objectively the best.
Naruto had Kabuto use a cool new attack and give some backstory. I kinda liked it.
Bleach struck me as kinda hollow- you had an offscreen worfing, and the confirmation of what we'd guessed.
One Piece, well it had humor.
Fairy Tail had a fairly cool fight, and a revelation of how the baddies are playing FT and the other baddies. So it won.
The thing I liked about Bleach was the set up.
It starts off very lighthearted with the Tres bestias fighting among each other, indicating their confidence and power. This is followed by that they're hyped up by Nelliel further enhancing the initial proposition. But then we cut off the Kirge who've killed off the three, seemingly without any effort on his part.
It really goes to show how quickly the story can shift from having a joyous atmosphere to having this darker tone. Furthermore, we've yet to see Kirge fight -- so we don't know his abilities -- but we know that he's powerful and probably more than a match for Ichigo. This was one of the better build ups I've seen.
Mangastream is back, with some stipulations. Yay for better scans!
