Wait a minute. Didn't Wonderman stalemate Hyperion until Hyperion rammed him into a nearby sun killing him? They also fought again and Wonderman held his own. Wonderman then face Gladiator and pissed on himself when seeing what Gladiator was capable of and got 3 paneled and punched through the heart of the planet. Hyperion is nowhere close to Gladiator and also, Hyperion is being underated.

Hilarious.

"Gladiator and Hyperion had a direct stalemate."

"Hyperion isn't even close to Gladiator! He's underrated, though."

"Hyperion is around Wonder Man level who is nowhere near Gladiator level. Hyperion is being underrated... I am the only talking about Hyperion"

So you don't think Hyperion would do good against Supes? Don't say he doesn't do well against Thor because he does. Hyperion has had good showings against every top tier he has faced. He is being underestimated, especially if people think that Superman and Thor would just run through him.

It's sad you don't know what either Thor or Superman are capable of or why they're both above Gladiator.

I know full well what thor and superman are capable of, so does image comic and they were NOT impressed. But you are the one that claimed that superman has infinite strength, you have lost all credibility with me. Debate over.

He does good against a holding back Thor. When Thor has had enough he puts Hyperion in his place, just like he does to Gladiator.

You apparently think Hyperion isn't even close to Gladiator...yet you think he'd be a good fight for Superman or Thor...which leads me to believe you somehow, impossibly, think Gladiator to be greatly beyond both of them, which is, to be frank, ri-goddamn-diculous.

Why do you complain about underrating Hyperion when doing it yourself?

Lol...I understand what you are saying Jake. My point wasn't to put Gladiator above Superman and Thor...the point of my post is, Hyperion is being underestimated. When doesn't Thor hold back...Hyperion still have that victory over him. The second time they fought, I think Thor resorted to shrinking him. They fought again and neither won, it was a stalemate.

My point is...you using Hyperion as a crutch against Gladiator is downplaying the character. Hyperion have the fts proving that he does well against Heralds...he usually lose though which is what happened when he faced Gladiator.

I could give a shit what Image Comics thinks about how Thor and Superman are portrayed. Todd McFarlane thinks Spawn is virtually unbeatable by anyone, and that's not even the various "God" incarnations of Spawn. Conversely, Joe Casey thinks Superman is unstoppable of anything short of Classic Beyonder. Opinions of companies and writers mean very little to me at the end of the day. Thor's, Superman's, and Gladiator's feats and battles are what matter, and Thor and Superman are clearly superior to Glads, "planet busting" aside.

I claimed Superman has a feat of him lifting "infinite weight", which he does, and according to that single feat, he would have infinite strength. It's stupid as hell, but it happened. Lol at you saying "debate over" like it means something. I've already proven my point, as have most of the rational posters here.

I'm not even going to talk about your confusion of the order, but rather, when did Hyperion beat Thor?

And you realize Thor has fought three different Hyperions... so...

Hyperion beat Thor by being shrunk into an action figure in a snow globe?

Before that, Hyperion was working Thor. That was a last effort move Third did.

Thor told "Good" Hyperion he held back... and how did Hyperion win if he lost?

It's funny, Hyperion failed to do any noticeable damage to Thor twice while having a partner to help him. The first time Thor had just sent Hyperion flying before he called in for help to hold Thor while he slugged him. (which did little more then knock Thor's helmet off and piss him off) and the next time Thor sent Hyperion flying again before he got help again. Thor got disarmed and Hyperion blitzed him for a couple pages. When Thor got Mjolnir back he was ready for more and once again pissed. And to top it off, this was under Busiek who typically wrote a pretty low end Thor.

Even Busiek, while his Thor was typically low-end as compared to Thor in his solo series, still portrayed Thor as being the most powerful Avenger, too.

Don't act like Thor was desperate or something.

He was holding back and he ended the fight the second he felt like it.

yep. Cap still referred to him as always being the most powerful among the avengers.
