STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Diplomacy

Jelena spend the point on Dash to rapidly backstep into the meeting room, before the droids can spray her down with rapid laser fire.

Once back inside, she will look for something to block this door with and tell Vimus and his men about what is coming through it if they do not block it.

Jelena then rapidly retreats back into the boardroom, saber raised and ready to defend herself. Only one droid follows you through, and Vimus blasts it down while his bodyguards hold the main door with sprays of lasers.

"We need to go together," Vimus says. "Out the front."

As for something to block the door, you have only the meeting table.

Jelena performs a Jedi leap backward onto the meeting table, and swiftly brings her lightsabers down to cut it in two. She wants it divided in two sections, each one heavy enough to hold the doors and hold back the droids. Once cut, she uses the Force to push a section over to the door she defended.

"Move!" she calls out to anyone in the way.

It will take a few turns to get all that into place, depending on rolls. A Lightsaber roll to cut up the table and a Force roll to get the segments into place. Willing to take the time?

Make it so! Coordination on top of all that, if it can apply.

Jelena backsteps away from the door she defended, putting her in the center of the room with Senator Vimus and his guards. Two droids march through after Jelena and focus their fire on her. She takes 6 damage when they roll a 6 each.

Vimus and a guard shoot down a droid that shot at you, and the other guard damages a droid that marched in near them. The damaged droid misses in return.

Jelena will jump to the north and land on the table before bringing her sabers down on its center.

2-3, the droids get a round of firing in before you can work on the table. Jelena defends herself against a volley, then deflects fire on one of Vimus' bodyguards. Everyone stays safe, but more droids march in.

You flip onto the meeting table. It is not exactly lightsaber-proof and comes apart easily, giving you that second half you wanted.

Vimus and his guards blast apart he droids next to them! Leaving three droids firing free by the side entrance you left.

Jelena will focus and raise the halved table from the floor, then float it as quickly as she can over to the south entrance, to block the droids from coming in.

"Cover me!" Jelena asks of Vimus.

5-6 for Initiative, the droids keep reinforcing in pairs of two. The damaged droid at Center misses his shots on Vimus, while you still have the attention of the droid trio at South. You take 6 damage, focusing more on moving the table than defending yourself.

Combined fire from Vimus and his guards puts down two droids at Center, leaving five droids unopposed at the south end of the room.

You reach out with the Force and hoist the severed table half into the air. Four successes means you can have Lifted it away from you in the same effort, putting it at Center.

Jelena continues to focus in spite of the mounting number of droids, knowing that blocking the far entrance will ultimately help her and the others. She pushes the halved table into the south doorway to prevent more droids from entering.

Evens! Second time this fight, meaning the droids open fire then reinforce before you seal the doorway.

One droid shoots at Vimus. Miss!

Three droids shoot at Jelena. Miss, miss, and miss!

One droid shoots at Lott Dod, for 3 damage. The Neimoidian does not take a direct hit but he does sprawl uselessly on the ground.

One last droid shoots at the Mantooinian delegation... miss!

You levitate the table toward the South entrance. Apparently the droids broke your focus, as you only roll one success. Not enough to put the table in place, I'm afraid.

Vimus and his guards clear out the droids by the Main entrance.

Ahh! Could Jelena put Guidance into that last Lifting roll to get the table in place so she can return to the fight this turn?

Blowing a Force point on Guidance would do the trick. Committing to it?

Yes! Jelena makes extra effort to clear her mind before putting the table in place, then snaps back into action by moving to bodyguard Vimus' wounded man.

Instead of losing your focus, Jelena puts a final surge of power into moving the heavy table and gets it into position. The south entrance is blocked!

5-2, she then flips into action at the center, ready to defend her allies. Before the droids can try opening fire on aides by the south entrance again, Vimus and his bodyguards unload on them. Three droids go down in a burst of lasers.

The remaining quartet return fire, with Vimus ducking a near-hit for 3 damage. Your defense of the bodyguard very much saves his life, and you defend yourself well.

The droids reinforce, but only at center.

"Shoot down the droids south, I'll protect you!" Jelena says to Vimus and his guards.

Continuing her defense of Vimus' wounded guard, she not only deflects a burst of lasers coming toward him but retaliates, cutting down the droid who fired on him.

Initiative to the droids, perhaps realizing that they only hold one means of getting into the room.

The droids next to you decide that you pose more threat than the shooters do. But they roll poorly and you deflect the close-quarters burst-fire rapidly. You respond by cutting a droid into several pieces with your whirling blades.

Vimus draws fire from the southern droid group, taking two hits for 7 damage.

Only through your defense of him does the injured guard stay standing. The other stays clear, his desk chair absorbing the blast, its arm rest melting off with the impact.

Two droids go down in the south, due to Vimus and one of the guards.

Jelena furiously deflects incoming lasers, probably focusing more on her ward than herself. Then, when she finds her opportunity, she swarms on a droid and vivisects it with her sabers.

Initiative returns to you at 5-4. You absolutely obliterate the droid you attack, with eight successes on your Lightsaber pool of nine. It falls in many pieces. Sadly, Vimus and company do not mimic your prowess and only shoot down a single droid with inaccurate bursts.

Two hits on Jelena, a miss on Vimus. The droids reinforce from the center.
