Apply Bodyguard to Lott Dod and use Coordination, and use Leadership to snap him out of his scared stupor and get him to answer her question.

1-4, new droids march in to replace their fallen counterparts. The droid by you tries a shot but misses. Vimus promptly shoots it down, while his guards split their fire between the droid marching in by them and the second by you. They only damage them.

You command Lott Dod's attention by your influence with the Force, and he turns his frightened gaze from the broken droids on the floor to the Jedi protecting him.

"You cannot do it remotely!" Lott Dod shouts. "Only the Droid Control Ship has the proper codes and equipment! We're doomed if we can't reach them!"

Jelena expresses her exasperation only in her mind, then takes it out on the droid next to her, chopping it in three with a clean horizontal twirl.

"How do we get through to them if our comms are jammed?" Jelena asks. "And how many droids did you bring down?"

Initiative 6-5, Jelena almost spitefully hacks down the damaged droid before her, rolling five successes when she only needed one. Consider it falling in three as intended.

Vimus and his guards render the droid near them into slag.

"We need something more powerful," he suggests.

Did he shrug off the droid question too?

"Where can we find something like that," Jelena says, though she's not sure that will really help, considering the comm outage her ship experienced earlier. She swings her blades through the droid that enters before it gets a shot off.

"This complex should have a long-range transmitter," Hardrew says. "We could rewire it to transmit short-range but up the power. We just need to get to it."

"It does," Senator Lobs confirms, speaking louder than you have heard him speak your entire time here. "But it's on the other side of the building."

"We will have to fight our way there," Jelena says.

She will attack the droid near her and see if she can venture beyond, or how many droids might be out there, waiting to push their way in.

You can attack or you can move forward. Either action will demand your attention.

Could I use Leadership to direct Vimus or his bodyguards to shoot the droid near me so I can check?

Yes please! Jelena shouts for help with the droid so that she can advance and check the corridor, to see if the way on is clear.

Jelena certainly takes advantage of her authoritative presence. You call out for help and you get it- the first bodyguard opens fire and only damages the droid, so Senator Vimus himself delivers the kill shot.

"Go, Jedi!" Vimus shouts, while his second bodyguard annihilates the droid near the Senator.

You step past the smoldering pile of droid parts and into the doorway. Beyond, a small squadron of battle droids stands waiting, filing in one at a time. Putting yourself in the doorway, however, means that they do not need to step in one by one to fight you.

"Destroy," says the nearest droid.

"Roger, roger," echo the other dozen plus.

They raise their blasters.

Uh oh! Can Jelena get out of the way before they shoot?

A point into Dash will get you out in time. Otherwise, they will fire before she can move.
