Why would Romney need to be bought off? He's already rich. The Establishment Inc. would need to offer Romney something he doesn't already have.

Like super strength. Or invisibility.

Romney is definitely rich, but he is not Ross Perot "rich". He needs quite a bit of backing/funding to make it against Obama.
