Thanos Vs Asgard

I guess the same reason he wears battle armor, Asgardians are a warrior race and they need to look the part.

I guess so.

And though I'm not arguing with Odin's comment, I'm sure you would agree how odd that[summoning a useless weapon] seems.

I kind of roll with it at this point. Thor's used horses before, and not even the magical kind. Redundancy isn't a popular concept in the realm eternal.

Wurd.

I don't really care either way, tbh. Just found it very strange...

Again, what do u believe the spear does for Odin? Please tell me your not part of the illogical group that says it does nothuing at all for him.
Well, you see, the doctor found this "thing" on Odin's butt ages ago. And, well, Odin is a pretty big guy, and this "thing" is in a hard-to-reach place, and it itches like hell!

So, he calls forth a couple of really unhappy dwarves...

What's there to debate about? Is this scene somehow not clear enough for a few people?

It's the same deal for the scepter of power:

Which for the record, I'd argue is above Gungnir.

Exceptional.

Yeah, Thudstrock doesn't "amp" Odin, either. And the scepter has more showings than Gungnir, iirc.

The line of logic that summoning a weapon MUST mean that said summoner NEEDS it to finish a fight or for some other benefit doesn't hold water, especially given Odin's feats without said items...and the fact, y'know, he outright states the power - the Odinforce - comes directly from him and not some weapon.

I could kick someone's ass and manhandle them to the point where it's clear I'm the superior combatant. If I pull out a gun later, it doesn't invalidate my superiority nor does it mean I need a gun in order to finish the fight.

Asgardians do shit like that all the time, too. Like Rage said, they ride on horseback or travel on foot when people like Thor or Loki can easily fly or teleport.

Dont say that too loud; you might disrupt the TDF members delusion about the "All-mighty" unbeatable Thanos of Titan...

SMH even now SM and ODG still haven't answered what was asked of them, sad trolls

Are you sticking to your argument that Odin using Gungnir is proof that he needed to use it?

Are sticking to not answering what I asked and that you think Odin didn't need it?

As he was effecting Thanos just fine before using it, no...I don't think Odin needed it.

Effecting him how? You think knocking Thanos off balance very is effecting him compared to knocking Thanos across the rainbow bridge, lulz before he brought out the weapon his attacks had no effect.

Odin was upping the power behind his attacks throughout the fight, which is why his later attacks had more effect than his first.

Amping his attacks! Lol his first blast did nothing, his second attacks made Thanos move back a touch a lift his foot of the ground slightly then he used a energy back hand that did the same and then he used a load of asteroid to attack Thanos, and you think that compares to the power used to knock Thanos across Asgard in terms of effecting and amping his power.

You must think is some kind of retard if you think that is how he amps

Yes, amping his attacks...it's why they had progressively more effect on Thanos during the fight.

More effect lol prove they had more effect! As the his last three attacks all had the same effects only moving Thanos a touch

The comic shows them having more effect, you should really take the time to read the comic, it'll make things less embarrassing for you.

More effect how? By having the same effect with three attack!

Why don't you post these more effective attacks to prove me wrong

He went form using a two-handed blast in order to effect Thanos to only needing a backhand, that doesn't seem like an increase to you?
