USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE VI (LIGHT SIDE)- Missing Links

Jelena heaves a sigh of relief as the others finish off the last intact battle droid. She shuts off her lightsaber and her shoulders sag, her arms limp.

"We got what we needed," Jelena says. When her Padawan approaches, she wraps an arm around her student. "We need to keep going. Collect the others, patch them up, get out of here, alert the authorities to this place, then get the other half of the Scroll."

She says this with little conviction, feeling totally drained.

Some part of Xeth feels disappointed that he didn't get that last droid. But it is pushed from his mind when the emotional surge of relief he senses from his fellow Jedi washes over him.

"That's that," Xeth says, before stomping on the nearest droid head to silence it. "This place gives me the creeps. Let's get out of here."

Xeth proceeds to the bulkhead that sealed them in, igniting his lightsaber to cut through it.

"I thought we were going to become permanent residents for a moment there." Denzral glibly remarked, while wounded.

"I think we all did," Rast says. He will help find the injured Jedi in the dark and get them to the bulkhead. He collects his rifle, wondering if a pistol would have worked better here.

Gallagher will likely have tried to drag himself to D'an in the dark. When he senses the turmoil cease and the echo of lasers stops with it, he signs with relief.

"We're okay," he reassures D'an. "The others finished it."

Denzral was dusting droid parts off of his tunic. "I wonder if we could make some credits selling this antique stuff."

"I'm sure you could find some Sith-loving collector somewhere," Rast says. He spits on the droid he punched apart. "No, this place should be destroyed completely. It's a menace."

Andro lowers his blade as the last droid falls and looks around to make sure that the battle is, indeed, finished. He does now extinguish his blade, hsis grip so tight for so long won't allow his fingers to open yet.

"We will be the last living beings to lay eyes on this place. I'm going to collect Argo, get him on his feet, and we're going back down to the control center. If there's a way to destroy this place from within, we must use it."

If there's any way further down to the droid production area, Andro, you'd have to fight your way through- and there are hundreds more droids down there.

Though you are right of course- this place needs to be totally dismantled. You can only imagine what it must have been like with Sit defending it as well- no wonder Kazan held out.

Still, the droids are only infantry. A methodical engineering approach- using a lot of explosives- would slowly destroy this place with little risk. You suppose you had better tell the authorities of this planet that they've had an active Sith battle base beneath them for millennia...

Meanwhile... lots to sort out!

Well, Jelena will take a closer look at the information she managed to withdraw from the computer. We need to find where to search for the rest of the Scrolls and get moving!

And if she can get any more information out of the computer banks, even the whole thing to submit to the Jedi Archives, she will take a look.

She will also reward her Padawan for her hard work by offering to trade lightsabers, as a sign of trust and respect.

Once we get out of the Sith fortress, Vera-Kin will get in touch with the government of Alambritis, and let them know what took place underground and what sort of menace they can expect.

She wants to make use of their hospital facilities to patch up the team, since everyone is in bad shape after engaging the droids.

"Let's try to never do this again," Vera-Kin says to Xeth. "As much I enjoy a good battle, I don't enjoy one that never, ever ends..."

I'm thinking a hospital would be fantastic right about now.

Gallagher will ask D'an how he felt about the fight and if he is doing okay after being wounded.

"You and I need to work on our combat skills," Gallagher says, begrudgingly. "I always say I try to avoid fighting, but, here we are..."

Holy Crap we survived...

"We" who? lol

Ok, so, a number of things to sort out!

It's Vera who notices something as you start to trudge away,. The droids here repair all major damage (indeed, the little spider droids are pulling away most of the droid parts into tiny areas that lead down as you watch) but they don't polish things. On the southern approach to the central area- not the northern one where you made the breach- there is an intense series of gunshot marks in the ceiling.

Xeth will be finished cutting through soon. Jelena- what you are pondering right now is finding a computer that can deal with a data format as old at this! This is not necessarily an issue of technology- which in some respects was better during the Malphan Wars than it is now- but certainly compatibility. Especially if these are custom Sith systems; they didn't share their engineering ideas much. More likely they were contracted out though.

Denz- this stuff would be worth a fortune to the right collector! It's part of the reason why some of the people you have been tracing were involved in this sort of thing at all, of course. However- before we get into 'Jedi are leery of letting anything Sith related get out and about' side of things, from any legal standpoint this stuff belongs to the planet you're on. This is the only thing Alambritis is known for at all- they likely deserve a museum.

Once you're out, we'll discuss patching you guys up...

Vera-Kin steps around the droid parts as they get dragged off by the tiny spider droids, too weary to really do much about it and knowing that she could not do much anyway.

But when she spots the gunshot marks in the ceiling, this catches her attention, and she examines them closely. She looks for anything indicating how recent they are, or why they were made.

Maybe between Andro and myself we can jury-rig something that will accept the file type or whatnot? Since I see that Wentar is back we could use his tech-minded Ally on this.

You may be able to manage something, Jelena, indeed.

Well they weren't made today, Vera. But something tells you that they weren't made thousands of years ago either- for a start, if the droids here do routine maintenance, the wall, floor and ceiling panels would be updated every few decades or so.

Were they perhaps made around the time Adelmo would have been hunting for the Scrolls? Can I tell what type of gun did this, or for what purpose?

Clearly not me...
However, I'm down to pop back in when we are able.
