USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE VI (LIGHT SIDE)- Missing Links

Started by Craft173 pages

Perhaps we can try track down some historical types who studied Sith history on this planet to see if they can shed any light on who would of helped Kazan design their computer systems and the like.

As for the last two or three to heal up, maybe those who have the highest Medicine in case we need them again sometime soon.

Well, it seems like Adelmo's MO is to either leave no trace or blow the whole thing up. The burn marks seem to follow neither.

Also, how do we know Kazan never went back for the scrolls? Could he have, but decided to leave them be for some reason?
He might have though that they needed to stay hidden.

It's part of the (admittedly scanty) record of the wars that Kazan went to get the Scrolls (amongst many other things) for Malphas, but Malphas never got them.

There are only two broad reasons why this might be so- either Kazan didn't want to retrieve them or he couldn't. The first is hard to fathom (if they were so pant-wettingly scary that even a Sith that destroyed worlds feared them, he would have destroyed them), but the second seems odd- why hide them somewhere you can't get to?

The burn marks, meanwhile, speak to someone's particular tactic.

There are absolutely no records or clues about the Malphan wars here at all- the world was levelled at the time and re-built. Which is not to say there was absolutely nothing to be found- seeing as Adelmo and co DID find the site in the end- but they would have snaffled all that info by now.

Could it be perhaps that Kazan did go and get the scrolls but then did not give them to Malphas for some reason, perhaps a planned betrayal?

Burn marks could be Katai, or I could be completely off base.

No-one ever hid anything from Malphas. His foresight was legendary when it came to things like that.

Betraying Malphas was also a no-no because without Malphas, the Sith lost their invasion force, who were only fighting for them because they saw Malphas as a god. It was probably Darth Varus, Malphas' apprentice, that was more peeved by that.

There's also only a 1 in 3 chance that Kazan would have been capable of reading the scrolls, but that's history for you. Anyway- to sum up, Saar told you this was the way to the scrolls; it's the only lead you have. Saar is about as trustworthy as a pazaak-playing Hutt but you haven't much choice, really- you had better hope it is where Kazan left it.

In what sense Katai?

Intense series of blaster marks? I mean, Katai had two guns but she's hardly rapid fire. Any chance the BV50 visited?

No, just a lot of shooters.

As in a group of people with guns?

Or, or...
Maybe we are thinking about this the wrong way. The droids had guns and there were a lot of them, maybe they were the ones shooting at the ceiling. And so who do we know who can hang out on the ceiling? Katai.

Oh duh. I should have put that together. So then they've been here, but they did Kara Katai get what Adelmo sent her after? As slippery and dangerous as Katai is, I can't see her taking on as many droids as we just did.

Nor did she blow this place up. Maybe she tried a different tactic.

Can we tell if the computers were tampered with at all?

Maybe she had a building placed over it to hide it, using Lennah?

Oh, Lennah built the building, you traced that already.

Jelena didn't see any evidence of tampering, but those with long memories may remember something about Katai's skillset...

She's a saboteur by default. Is it entirely possible that she tampered with the information and left no trace? So whatever information we have could be useless?

What else is she very good at doing? Back when you first met her.

Sneaking about undetected? Forgive me, it's been awhile.

Stupid years going by!

What was she doing when you first met her?

When we first met Katai, it was right after she had killed the Venerable Z'Har. She had used that weird security hacking device to gain access to the Vault after the Z'Har revealed where it was. Then she tried to kill us with her darts and her guns.

The weird security hacking is the key- Katai walked through security systems like air.

It wouldn't have left a trace; we only caught her because she had been surprised and had to abandon the device. And then, of course, wandering into the Vault ourselves to fight her.
