USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE VI (LIGHT SIDE)- Missing Links

Iffa is watching the doctor, using scan where appropriate.

I'll be in the room, up by Jelena and Xeth.

(But possibly posting a bit sporadically for the next few days as I frantically try to get real world stuff done..)

Wentar will be with Roan, Jelena and Xeth, he'll stay silent unless he suddenly thinks of something to say. Though since he's the same species as Saar it might be better for him not to draw attention to himself.

"If you were looking for them, my statement would be evidently false. I am not wrong, therefore, you are not looking for them," says Saar. "You do not know what you are looking for in any case, which is part of your problem.

"I'd still like to hear about your friends, Xeth. Fighting for justice, are you?"

"Yes, as all Jedi do," Xeth says. "Just in places that the Jedi normally can't go due to the restrictions of the Senate and the Republic's boundaries."

"Ah, boundaries..." says Saar. "They are a problem, aren't they? Everything you would hold against me- all of those events on Zeiton- apparently, none of those issues exist as far as the Republic a concerned. I could have destroyed the entire civilisation and none of your courts would have blinked an eyelid. Is that justice?"

"No," Xeth admits, "but that's why I go above and beyond. I helped stop you and your cohorts. We brought you to justice. Maybe the courts weren't able to try you for the events on Zeiton, but they found something in your past to get you on."

"Is that ever rally enough though, Xeth? Does this really feel like justice to you? I've been convicted of no crime that warrants a life sentence with no parole. Where does this 'justice' of yours come from?"

"I'd say murder counts," Xeth says. "And I'm positive that you've killed more than just one person in your life."

"What you are positive about is not relevant to a court though, is it? Unless you think hearsay is justice. I've been convicted for killing one man- during breaking and entry, yes, but not pre-meditated, and during a struggle. Worth 30 years maybe, with parole hearings throughout. I have none of that. You think that just? By what measure?"

"I'm not here to argue justice with you," Xeth says. "Ultimately you were part of a plot to bring down the Republic. Your confinement is to protect the Republic. I want to find out about Kuylen."

"I've not been convicted of trying to bring down the Republic Do you hold with locking people up for unproven crimes? Or is it that you just think I deserve this anyway? Regardless of the spirit of the law."

"I do," I mumble in response to his second question. It is not audible enough to be overheard. I continue to watch.

Are his vitals being monitored? Could I presumably watch his heart rate or body temperature somehow? Again, not expecting him to reveal anything, but just wondering.

"Perhaps your imprisonment, in terms of justice, seems a bit extreme," Jelena says. "But it appears to me that you are confined to this station for your mental health, not purely for the murder of a security guard."

"You and I both know that that decision was made on practical grounds alone."

"That is not true," says Thule. "My evaluation of you was very thorough."

"You were instructed to give one outcome alone."

"That is the kind of victimisation process you must learn to avoid," says Thule.

"Yet somehow I sense not everyone here is comfortable with the means by which I was detained and continue to be so," says Saar. "I know how you feel, Xeth, There is a justice beyond just what the law says, hmm? After all, the law lets the people down oh so often."

Denzral almost agrees that the law does let some down, but says nothing, just watches carefully.

Rast is also staying quiet. He doesn't feel like he knows the situation better than Xeth or Roan do. So he keeps quiet and watches.

Xeth is sure that Saar is right about that.

"It does happen from time to time," Xeth says. "Otherwise, I wouldn't be out in the Galaxy like I normally am."

Wentar catches himself nodding at what Saar just said.

"Sometimes it's not a matter of justice, but simply doing the right thing," he says, finally speaking up.

"I thought so," said Saar. "Xeth... how many people do you think I am going to kill when I get out of here?"
